Think we'll see a civil war with multiple parties involved which is a bit concerning given the amount of nuclear weapons in that country. Even if this is crushed as we expect it to be I expect this is only the beginning. That said if they really do have control of the two cities they claim to already then you have to assume that there are lots of defections happening.
Russian helicopters reported as already having opened fire on Wagner forces, this is going to get messy.
They weren't getting enough supplies they needed when they were backed by Moscow, wonder how long they can last now they have no supply chain at all. Thousands of men need thousands of kg of food. Be fantastic if they take out Putin although I suspect logistics is what will stop them. They need to move fast. I just hope if they do succeed they don't take out everyone who knows how to keep alive the dead man's switch on the nukes...
There's rumours people in the military and some in the Kremlin are supporting Wagner. Wagner also raided military bases, likely to obtain supplies
All accounts out of Russia seem to indicate that Putin is a massive pussy. So he has likely already been evacuated to some Siberian mansion
Were they not getting enough supplies or were they stockpiling to plan for this? This clearly has been in the works for a significant amount of time and seems really well planned. They've already made far more progress than I thought they would tbh. Next 12 hours are vital. I'm inclined to agree with you that they've not got that much chance but the speed in which they're moving so far says to me that it's not just Wagner fighters supporting this.
Remarkable that they're putting barricades at the outskirts of Moscow. They'll be blowing their own bridges up soon
Wagner seem to have taken Rostov because it's where the bulk of the Russian airforce is based in the region. Means that Wagner controls air support into Ukraine at this moment. Well planned
By some accounts the Chechens are heading to Rostov to try and retake the city. Interesting times. Shame that they've backed Putin though I can still a new independence movement from them coming from this.
Pretty sure those Chechens always backed Putin. depending how it goes the other Chechens they were fighting may try something, so may the Georgians. Wouldn't be surprised if the Armenia and Azerbaijan kick-off again. Or they may join up with Wagner..
