If we are serious about pushing for the play-offs, then we need a first 11 where Slater isn't the automatic starter.
What does it say about the rest of the team as he won most of the end of season awards, at least it showed he is a grafter for the club.
If last season was based on the final 10 games, we would have finished in 12th position. OK we didn't have a recognised striker for the final few games, but I would suggest to Rosie that we need more than just a few tweaks given the quality of the three sides that have just come down.
But why single Slater out when he obviously put in his shift might not have always been fancy but he did his job.
The quality? Leeds and Leicester are a complete mess and Soton are going to have a huge turnover. Could be a Burnley, could be a Stoke. We dodged a number of bullets with Everton and West Ham staying up.
How hopeful are we talking here? Also hoping its not another contract extension on this one. Need a fresh face in soon
It's been imminent for about two weeks now according to teasers posted on here. That's not a complaint, I do appreciate the updates being shared but I think it's clear that the people informing the ITKers get a bit carried away about how close transfers are. It's very rare we just sign someone out of the blue, without it being known to be close in the media for days beforehand.
In relation to this post it could be the new kit. Either that or if some whispers are to be believed is that the club have really clamped down on stuff getting leaked
I agree, which is why I said the other two were a mess. Soton will very likely be the strongest of the three and that's saying something.
