The usual "sounds good on paper" but let's wait until that pudding's been tasted.
I suppose the only thing for me is I would have sacked him in February but at least hanging on to him we managed to con Southampton into giving us 1.2m for a very very average manager.
We'll always have that incredible memory
On the plus side you will have the 5th best possession stats in the whole of Europe behind Man City, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and a.n.other.Our board have GOT to give him time , after the farce that last season was , if they go down the same path this year , they ( board) will a laughing stock .
FWIW , I like to think we will finish top half and hopefully do much better the season after .
Anyway I hope the legal wrangling won’t affect / cause any bad blood amongst the supporters .
I think that if saints were speaking to RM while we were not mathematically down , then you should get the money .
if we were mathematically down when talks began , you shouldn’t get the money .
Just my opinion .
Good luck for next season , well except when we play each other .

Yes that’s great but would give that up for a too 6 finish and the chance of progressing.Plus the double-doubleWe'll always have that incredible memory

I thought our squad last year was more than capable of finishing top 6. Just managed poorly.Ultimately progression is down to the owners though. We'll see soon enough whether there's any real intent.
The run of only 3 wins in 21 Championship matches would, I believe, support that view given that we only missed out by 3 pointsI thought our squad last year was more than capable of finishing top 6. Just managed poorly.

Yes apparently official now, done deal, good luck and get down to the hard work needed to get back up the top end.You must log in or register to see images
Some extracts from Duff's statement
“We need that one team mentality; the players, staff, fans, and board. Everyone needs to pull in the same direction because that’s the only way you’re going to achieve success,” said Duff.
“I’ve had seven promotions in my career as a player and manager so I know what an environment should look and smell like.
“I want to play good football and I know that there is an expectation of that at this football club, but it’s about evolving it, moving it and being a bit more on the front foot and a bit more progressive at times.
“It’s about getting the balance of all those things because ultimately it’s a winning business. You’ve got to win.”
And Duff feels there is already a lot in SA1 that he is able to build on with the players, style and infrastructure already in place.
“I’ve come in with my eyes wide open in terms of the managers who have been here before,” he added.
“If you look at my previous teams, you’ll see we’re aggressive and in your face, we’ll go and press but we look to play football as well.
“I see a lot of good footballers and a lot of talent in the dressing room, so if we can add to that then I see an opportunity to do something.
“There were lots of reasons I wanted to come to Swansea; the step up in level, but also the infrastructure that’s already at the football club, and speaking to the owners and the ambition they’ve got for the club it matches my own ambition.
“My immediate aims are to get a helicopter view of the landscape and the players, physically and mentally. What do they look like? What is their attitude like? And that’s the same for all the staff too.
"Ultimately, we want to walk out of pre-season with a fit group of players who are fresh.
“Hopefully the supporters are as excited as I am. Hopefully we’re going to see some really good football which is a little bit more on the front foot.
"We need the supporters as much as they need us and if we both turn up every week, then hopefully we’ll get more wins than losses.”

I’ve got a good feeling about Duff - doesn’t come across as a bullsh*tter like Russ: hope I’m right![]()

...bit concerning.
Duff will certainly be ambitious.
