Not saying you're wrong, although other versions from credible sources certainly exist but the highlighted bit made me smile given the record of its current leader, who 'cured' cholera in Ethiopia when he was health minster there by renaming it acute watery diarrhoea (AWD). That not only mean that the initial victims couldn't get the appropriate treatment, but it helped it spread to neighbouring countries. Even then, Ethiopians couldn't get a Cholera vaccine, as officially nobody had cholera according to Tedros.
That's just one of a number of very questionable decisions he's made, including appointing Robert Mugabe as a goodwill ambassador to the WHO.
There's more and a summary is on the link. It doesn't get any better for digging deper.

The WHO investigation was compromised, this from the British Medical Journal. You can't believe a word the Chinese say.

Also the WHO is a joke and a dangerous one at that, with a confirmed Marxist as its current leader. For instance they've just appointed North Korea to their Executive Board. You can't make this **** up.

This is why we shouldn't have referendums, too many people are thick as pigshit.
Or, in other words, don’t vote the way you think they should. Unless you are including yourself in that generalisation of course. Shouldn’t have had a referendum in 1975 or ones for Scottish Independence?
Im against referendums too on big changes.
I like to think I’m fairly well read on things and frankly I have no real idea about economic policy or many other major things that could go right or wrong.
On referendums, we are risking the future of a country on the publics feelings or best guesses. I’d much rather people who’s job it is to work things out do the policy, as they have much more time and skill to analyse things.
Not to mention analysts have diverging opinions and solutions so how do you know which is the right one?Im against referendums too on big changes.

Yes, successive governments have done so well handling things, haven’t they? Not to mention analysts have diverging opinions and solutions so how do you know which is the right one?
Good input that.
I mean, I would rather politicians listened to more advice on more things than politicise everything. And I mean from a variety of sources and not just certain sections.
Sure. Sounds about right.
Just a thought as a cynic , it’s pretty coincidental that the Govt had already ‘prepared ‘ a what if it happens ‘plan’ not too long before after all these years? . Did they know this was likely , coming ? Based on intelligence maybe . Just maybe they knew someone was tinkering ??
As the covid inquiry has stated it appears the UK was not prepared it would appear not.
