I wouldn't sign Gallagher if I was them mind. Rice is superb though, he can do the box to box better than being the holding midfielder in my opinion.

No. He had 3 years left with a club option of an additional year, so 4 effectively.

He's extended 12 months and obviously been rewarded for his performances with a pay rise.

Gallagher had one good season at Palace. Think he's overrated myself.

    I rate Gallagher.

Needs be at right club in right position and he will show how good he is, like he did at Palace.

May well end up up the road you know…

I don’t see the fascination with Rice, he’s nothing special. He’s ok but I certainly wouldn’t pay anywhere near 100 million for him. Man City are getting a better player from Chelsea for way less

I hope Ballard stays for the rest of his career. Outstanding centre half.

If Hume, Ballard, Batth & Cirkin are our back four when the season starts as we all hope, where does 09 fit in cos he definitely needs to be in the team.

    I think Rice is underrated.

He does so much work he’s a phenomenal player. He’s not there to be flash he’s there like a diesel engine making it all tick.

Whoever gets him for me adds 6-8 points to their season.

I wouldnt say he definitely needs to be in the team but he will still be a massive player for us nxt season. He will start as 3rd choice CB but he will be needed a lot next season

As much as I love O'Nien, if those 4 are fit and firing then he won't get in the back 4 unfortunately.

O'Nien has more than proved himself at this level and his spirit is really hard to replace. Would love to see him in the team just don't know ahead of who.

We all know it’s very rare to have a starting 11 go unchanged. Injuries and suspensions are part of the game, which is why having such a great squad makes me so excited for next season. Onien will get plenty of game time as the squad is rotated.

Agree. If we get to a point where we have 16-18 players who we can rotate and not notice then we are onto a winner. Supplement that core squad of 18 with a few Chris Riggs over the season and I'll be happy.

I'm still 'snickering' how mar(s)velous he is and 'reve'ling in how he is 'vice versa' compered to Alex Neil

I don't think his biggest fans (like me) think he's got a starting place when everyone is fit, the team is just too good.

I see his role in the long term as a supersub who can cover pretty much any position and will get plenty of playing time over the season. Also personality wise very much a key player.

He's good enough to start in a number of positions at this level but as it happens we've got some real standout players who are ahead of him. I think he'll understand that and be ok with it. Gooch is very much the same in terms of his situation and his attitude.
