I have no idea about golf so thought the initial post meant the mag mate was saying pga is rotten as he was siding with the new thing Saudis started. But from this he is saying it is rotten cause the pga tour has now been influenced by Saudi cash?

Sounds like he thinks pga is rotten for getting involved with Saudis but fine for the mags to do it.

Yeah that was my take but only after you cleared it up on what had gone on with pga for them to be considered rotten! As I said had no idea about any of that really. So your post helped <laugh>

Kone being the prime example. We turned down a hefty bid from Everton, he signed a new contract, we celebrated, then was instantly a financial burden.

I still think it’s mental that an American organisation have sold out to the Saudis whilst the FBI are still releasing files linking Saudi Govt officials to 9/11. There’s still lawsuits ongoing against the state of Saudi by the victims families charities etc.

The “Moyes” effect wasn’t it? Allardyce had him looking the best CD in the league, he left, Motes joined. End of story

The PGA were fighting a losing battle ...they came kicking and screaming to a joint venture with the PGA. However, this will only polarise the players even more...be a long long time before peace will prevail in the world of golf

Good article however personally I don't agree with the "Finding another Amad Diallo is the ultimate challenge for Sunderland this summer" comment. The kid was immense but we have Roberts and probably Lihadji to play on the right.

Strikers have to be the priority and I agree with the 1 proven and one youngster but only if Stewart is still here, if not that becomes 2 proven strikers and a youngster that we need to sign.

I think our important signings will be down the spine of the team. CB, CM, a number 10 and a striker. We may need cover for Clarke and possibly Hume also.

Yeah we have about 50 wingers and all look suitable for the Championship.

I think CM may be OK with Neil, Ekwah, Evans, Matete, Ba and Embleton (plus Bellingham if he signs) but we could do with another experienced centre half. It's difficult to work out what we might need as surely there is no way the squad will be decimated by injuries like last season. I don't think a single team would have coped comfortably with the number of key players missing that we had.

On paper we actually have a decent size squad when you look at it, with at least one cover for each position other than up front.

Am I the only one that thinks Roberts has a more rounded game than Amad and actually may well prosper even more bit giving him the ball?

    Cos I do think this.

Still love Amad back mind, I just think PR thinks a bit more, Amad brilliant on instinct but that why sometimes anonymous.
