Beef on Netflix is really good, it's about two very different people who have a minor traffic incident which rapidly escalates into a war against each other. Funny and sharp and deals with some deep stuff about how it feels to be pissed off at how life turned out.

I probably shouldn't watch it then!

It's fun watching two people just say **** it I've had enough of being polite and keeping everything bottled in and dive into indulging all their petty and angry (and funny) ****. They do the stuff you might feel like doing but don't for fear of being arrested and/or sectioned.

If anything it's a cleanser that makes you feel a bit better.

The comment from me was tongue in cheek about the fact I often get pissed off by how certain people I know have been very fortunate in some things and it feels like I never get a break. Like a lot of people money is pissing me off at the minute but there are a couple things making the situation even more annoying!

Sounds exactly like Danny, one of the two main characters. Definitely a relatable show.

Makes you laugh too which always helps.

Not sure if anyone I'd watching Ted Lasso, I genuinely enjoyed the first two seasons, however after a slow start to the 3rd season I think it's the right time to end it after this one. Not a word I like to use, but season 3 is very very Wokey and Political. Shame for something that started off so refreshing about an American football manager, thrown in at the deep end of a make believe EFL team with the right amount of daft comedy..Sunderland gets a load of mentions aswell.

I have been enjoying it even if its a bit daft and so far I wouldn't say its been that woke (admittedly I have this week's episode to watch so will comment further when I watch it tonight).

Watched it and can see where you are coming from with it being pc, but to be honest it's what we get these days from a lot of TV and especially those light hearted comedies like that. I watched all of Brooklyn 99 and the last series was unrecognisable as it was after the death of George Floyd and went all in with it!

Related question to Ted Lasso Wunderkind? Does anyone actually here this correct use of the phrase often or is it more the incorrect use of Wonder Kid?

Finished Beef last night, belter of a show. If you've got Netflix give it a go it's one of the best things on there.

Anyone watching Perry Mason? I like stuff set in that era, first series was alright but a bit patchy especially plot wise, everything has clicked into place for the second series and it's really enjoyable and engrossing.

I record and watch 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' when I'm in the mood.

It's very funny and, as with all of Larry David's things, clever and thought provoking ...

... he thinks things we all think but he's incapable of biting his tongue.

You want to kill him but can't help but admire him.

He’s my hero. I’ve been described as a cross between him and Tony from After Life

I've suddenly got a need to watch trailer park boys!

Sat and watched them back to back about 18 months ago and think it's due another go.

Greasy!

Just started watching "a small light" on Disney plus.

Just had to pause it 40 minutes intot he first episode to come on here and write this. Wow, it's very well done so far but that not what's making me stop and think. This was real this really happened to these people for no other reason than being a Jew.

I spent 3 and half years two minutes down the road from where one of the death camps were. I never visited the memorial/museum that is now on the site! I always seemed to be working on the couple of occasions people went and its one of those things I don't think you would want to visit more than once, it would have meant going on my own and as a lad in 19-22 I just never got around to it. Wish I had but also know I also avoided it a little bit too!

Might have to give this a watch....something I'm interested in.

I get what you're saying about visiting the camps museum/memorial. I've always wanted to visit Auchwitz Birkenau, but deep down I know I don't want to....if that makes sense.
I'm currently reading The Holocaust by Martin Hilbert, without doubt the best one I've read on the subject. What really comes across is how it evolved from 1 or 2 isolated murders, to a few hundred, to thousands, and how it became normalised.
It's a long book, 828 pages, plus 130 pages of notes, references and index, but I would highly recommend it.

Just started Ten Pound Poms which looks pretty good

Binge watched all 3 series of Race across the world which is excellent, but you have to work out pretty quickly which couple you hate and which you want to win :emoticon-0102-bigsm
