Ivan Toney would like to thank you for being allowed to play on loan in the Kazakhstan league during his ban
Kane scored a brilliant goal, the Brentford cruised to a 3-1 away win. Stadium empty for lap of honour.
Everton losing. Door remains wide open if Leeds or Leicester could manage even a modicum of competence.
Villa could do Leicester a massive favour by hanging on to this lead. If Newcastle wrap up CL football today, due to Liverpool losing, they might not be quite so on it come Monday night. (Whereas if Newcastle still need to get something, then I can only see a very easy home win on Monday night.)
Ughhh ****ing Everton, can’t think of a club less deserving of this kind of luck. Still not safe going into the last day though, they would have wanted a win.
Draw doesn’t really change too much as far as I can see. Leeds needed at least one win from the last 2 games and so did Everton. Goal difference is so close as well
At KO, I suspect that most Forest/Leeds/Leicester fans would have taken a 1-1 draw. But how it has transpired to happen, that's a massive kick in the teeth for them all. It Everton beat Bmouth at home - and I suspect they will - that will surely be enough. I'm not sure that Leeds will win both games and Forest will win one.
Yeah, they could still be going into the final day in the drop zone, but Leeds now has to be much more aggressive against West Ham...draw isn't enough for them anymore.
It potentially now allows Everton to draw their last game. Don't get me wrong, I suspect they will still need to win it. But it's not out of question that they could stay up on 34 points - whereas I'm not sure they could/can on 33 points. A three-way tie on 34 points between Everton, Leeds and Forest is possible. Which would be a disaster for Forest.
Yeah I hadn’t really factored in Forest. If it’s a tie on 34 points between Everton and Leeds then who knows as goal difference is so tight. Leeds winning by 2 tomorrow then losing by 1 on the final day would mean they would stay up in the event of a tie. I imagine Dyche would’ve been targeting 4 points to ensure safety going into the final 2 games so they got the 1 they needed today I suppose
If Leicester could somehow get a point on Monday night, it could even be a four-way tie on 34 points - they could hardly ask for a nicer game to finish, than at home to a West Ham side who will presumably rest almost everyone ahead of the European final. But I can't see anything other than a Newcastle win. Arguably more likely is Leeds winning tomorrow, and Leicester being relegated before even playing West Ham.
They can’t be relegated before the Newcastle game can they? Leeds win tomorrow and they’ll be 4 points ahead but Leicester still have 2 games to play Dream scenario is Leicester winning the last 2 and Leeds and Everton going down, but doesn’t seem likely
