He started the season with Anthony Pulis on the subs bench ffs, and Matt Paterson starting up front. The fact we finished 7th after the team we started with is incredible.
Think it was said the group of players were given more time off too, Reckon everyone been told to not get injured and just do basic training. I mean nor alot you can do tbh, Just bin off Selles and give Hoeseman the job for 2 games.
Sounds pissed off to me. I expect our performances to be even worse in the final 2 games. If that’s possible.
If Martin is the new manager, hopefully he will bring Ryan Manning with him. He will be a free agent next month. 5 goals and 10 assists, from a left back!
One year left on his contract, so might be a bargain there. Also, Matt Grimes could be the midfielder we need. We were after him last summer or the one before.
None of the info on RM looks that good and I’d normally say “in the board we trust” but after NJ & RS, I’m not so sure. Also, I don’t think RM will have much “pulling power” nor influence to retain the few we want to stay.
Worth dropping in here too I guess: Aberdeen head of recruitment Darren Mowbray (brother of Tony) is joining Saints. He replaces Joe Shields. Will work alongside Wilcox, the new academy director and the new head coach to lead the football dept.
