£100m from TV money for the league, £100m to qualify for Champions League, new sponsors incoming... £210m spent in the last 18 months with little income compared then adding the above £200m is easily feasible.

Doesn't really parse with what that Saudi (sports?) Minister was saying recently - that if we get CL we'll be doing everything to make sure we never finish below that level again. Also, got to say it, your previous list of targets you expected from a couple of days ago would, when you factor in a likely signing fee for Marcus Thuram, probably add up to around £150million - £190million

Not sure how reliable this source is but Maddison would be an unreal signing. Performing in a side that isn't firing (for whatever reason) really does showcase how good he is. He won't be short of offers and without CL football, I don't think he will come. Then again, Isak came and he has a much higher profile.
The rumour was back in Jan we had £25m for the summer NET. We’ve since probably added £20m with the sale of Wood and Shelvey. We’ve also added about £20m with the new shirt sponsor and £10m from Amazon. They may add a bit more due to CL qualification IF we get it. and then add whatever we get for Maxi if he goes. Will still be nowhere near £200m. Arda Turan must be older than me. Can’t see us signing him.
It all depends on FFP and any outgoings we have. We need to get the commercial side up and running properly, and we are getting there, before we have 200M transfer windows. I suspect we have about 100-120M if we qualify for the CL. We do transfers differently now, insofar as we don't pay the full amount upfront, which helps. We will still have a great window regardless
