Lavia looks quality on the ball considering his age but he seems a bit one paced which is probably why Guardiola let him leave City because he struggles to cover the defence like a good athletic DM should, he's more of a deep-lying quarterback like a Shelvey than a rapid harrying style Makelele/Kante DM that can truly protect the back four. I'd rather Southampton's other young talent Alcaraz who's shown he's good at breaking forward and getting goals in a poor team and plays with a feisty demeanor which will suit our style of play better than Lavia who's more of a laid-back player. I can also picture young Forest RW Brennan Johnson galloping forward in black & white next season if the price is right as he looks like he'll suit Eddie's system perfectly.
I just don’t know how that works. Do Southampton say to Manchester City that they’ve had a bid and do you want to activate or do they not have to inform them?
2 from each of the potential relegation teams: Lavia, JWP @ Southampton, Maddison, Tielmans, @ Leicester, Brennan Johnson, Gibbs-White @ Forrest, Gnoto, Summerville @ Leeds Onana, Patterson @ Everton 2 I'd 100% go for - Maddison and Patterson with Onana/Lavia close 3rd behind them two.
My three main targets would be Maddison, Ward-Prowse and Evan Ferguson from Brighton. Maddison for obvious reasons, one of the best players in the entire league. Ward-Prowse is always fit, technically gifted, can slot into a few midfield positions and we are easily one of the worst in the entire league at set pieces, he however is the best free-kick taker in the Premier League. He'd also be cheap. Evan Ferguson has an impressive physique, he's 18 and capable of scoring goals in the Premier League and just looks a future star. If we got him he could be with us for years to come and become a world class striker.
First two maybe. Last one no chance. The kid is brilliant and will either stay at Brighton and do a Kane. Or end up at Man City.
Ferguson is a great shout. Brighton have no objection to selling their talent on for profit so we'd have to pay an awful lot for a homegrown talent but he would be a great option to replace an ageing Wilson.
Definitely. And the fact they have had a good season might see them wanting to push on and keep their talent, not continue to sell.
Looks like Norwich are throwing Hayden back our way for being ****e: https://www.newcastleworld.com/spor...ahead-of-newcastle-united-summer-move-4136357
Do you reckon he fancies a job as mentor and back up for Bruno!? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65544255
Rumoured transfer budget of approx £200million. Aligns nicely with the current strongest rumours - Maddison £50million, Diaby £50million, Ugarte £53million, Augusto £17million, Wahi £35million. That lot strengthens ACM, DCM, RW, LB and S for a combined £205million... No right sided CB though, cheapskates.
