Yeah a few cans tonight and a good nights kip will do you good. Should never look at it as 8 years wasted, when you think about it - nothing has been wasted at all because life is here for us all to look forward to new experiences and enjoying everything to the full. With what you're doing now nothings been wasted - just cleared up time and space so you can get cracking enjoying something new. 
Chin up mate, I know it hurts like hell now, but as someone else said, time is a healer. 8 years is a long time but life moves on, keep your pride about you and **** em.
I'm off for the weekend following a spell of nightshifts..I'm now chilling out with a bottle of Italian red wine (well we have to support their economy in every way we can), and relaxing in front of the box...

when i was young was with someone for about 5 years thought it was the real deal but one day it ended,was gutted for ages but stayed single for 3 years in that time i got to like myself as a person (yeah yeah glad someone does ..feckers
) had a wild time,went all over and then one day when i was happy being single and enjoying life in general bam out of the blue i met my wife,who and i'm not ashamed to admit it i love more now than i ever have.guess what i'm trying to say is life has a funny way of working out a good example is syd's story but i doubt you'll even be interested in any of this,i'll guarantee this though it isn't the end of the world just a new beginning
