He needs regular football to get back into the Aussie national team, I can see their being a lot of clubs - English, Scottish and European being interested in signng him. Good luck to him.
He's not in contention for the Aus team, he's made 1 appearance in his career and we've gone past him. I would be surprised if that's genuinely part of his consideration.
I guess the fact he's a pretty good player and is definitely leaving Swansea, much in the same way we got Christie last season.
If you’ve watched the last run of games where he’s played left back and thought anything lower than solid you have an unfair agenda and are deciding how good someone has been before they’ve started playing.
It may be he wanted to go himself to get regular football. As far as we are concerned I think Liam is looking for a full-back that give us more going forward, similar to Christie.
Could be numerous reasons. Maybe he wanted to move on? Maybe he wanted a longer contract than we could offer? Maybe (hopefully) we are looking for beyond 'solid'? Who knows. A decent honest player at this level imo. Taking it as a(nother) sign that we are serious about a promotion push.
"Callum has been brilliant for us and was a massive part of this club’s League One success story and has helped us establish ourselves in the Championship. He will always be part of our family and be welcome at this club," - Tan Kesler
Being a back up left-back is horrible too. You tend not to make the 18 and you're just waiting on injuries. I think it's been pretty clear that Rosie doesn't really fancy him but he's really improved and he'll get a good move
