When Klopp first arrived, we did that quite often blowing teams away and then hanging on for the rest of the game.
PGMOL say was nothing wrong with what tierney said to klopp after having reviewed the audio… In that case release the audio. Make klopp look stupid and force an apology from him if there was nothing wrong with it. Of course that won’t happen and we’ll all be left in the dark and not know what was going on
See the debate now raging about Jota and the red just to be clear I know it’s a red under the rules but the rule - once again is wrong imho the player was stooping to head - you can’t put a height restriction on this as all players are differing heights it’s only dangerous because the player has placed his head at that level if this was say a diving header and the foot was at say naval height what are we saying ? as I said with the Mane incident all them years ago this would happen on many other occasions and only yield a yellow - here is a high profile example I am certain there will be plenty more - I am sure this debate will run long past my time on the planet
Mixed emotions, when they got 1 back I knew we’d be all over the shop, really isn’t good enough. HOWEVER - the spuds going to ecstasy levels whilst Richarlison is in with the crowd, top off, shushing the home crowd and then 90 seconds later you lose anyway was a very welcome laugh for me
What a rollercoaster of a game that was. Regardless of the fact that we shouldn't have let ourselves get into the position, that last minute winner is one of the reasons I love watching this team. With regard to what Tierney said - someone who uses Twitter pointed out to me that it was something along the lines of him telling Klopp it was his refereeing that cost us the title. I'm going with the - don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you see - school of thought on this one. A few things 1)The conversation is on tape 2) Klopp knows this, why would he lie? 3) Release the audio
Anyone remember Haaland getting booked for this? Me neither. Dermot Gallagher said it was the correct decision because Haaland plays the ball and Andersen dives in with his head down. Sound familiar
Yep sounds very familiar And there are loads of them then have a look at the ones where two players have gone in with their feet at the same height studs showing I am sure it’s happened but I have never seen both players sent off for dangerous play I have no idea why this topic winds me up so much lol But it does I was the same with Mane intention has to be taken into account on this or you level the rule and they all go off Which doesn’t and will never happen frustrated lmao
It was pointed out in December 2021 that during the season Liverpool were issued with 27 yellow cards and 1 red. 11 of the yellows and the red were issued in just 3 games by Paul Tierney. 40% of the cards in 15% of the games says it all. Klopp is right to wonder what Tierney has against us. It would make sense for him to not be given any of our games in the future. There's no need to keep stoking this fire.
It's the same as the Robbo and linesman situation (and countless others) - authorities just close ranks and blame everyone else. There's no desire for exclosure or willingness to even find the truth, just cover their backs and claim innocence and propriety. I really wish Klopp had come out and said what he thinks Tierney said to him.
But would that not then give carte Blanche for managers to start going batshit crazy I agree with you ftr just asking the question
