    Let go in the BBC shake up of local radio.

    Poor decision, I know some don't like him with Swanny doing the City commentaries, but he's by far the best presenter on RH daytime radio.

    I think it’s just his 10-2 slots going, the local sport is staying the same, but wether he will do it, doesn’t seem to have been confirmed

    We're effectively losing local radio for most of the day, afternoons and weekends will no longer be local at all, they'll be merged with other areas.

    On the football side, I think a change/shake up has been needed for a while, but nobody can deny his daily show is very popular. Plus his support for all things local can never be questioned.

    Burney could be a bit negative at times on the footer but on the whole, and I have listened to some other local commentators on Ifollow, he is head and shoulders above many of them. He is a strong supporter of all things local, and he will be missed by many, not Chazz though. Maybe will go freelance and do some gigs from time to time, I guess TWT.

    If that is the logic (end of local RH radio) then I guess it's an understandable decision.If it's not that logic, it would be an appalling, sad decision. I get it that he's not everyone's cup of tea, but overall he's damn good at what he does and is a great advocate for the region, including City. He'll be missed by many.
    Also a sad day if it does effectively mean the end of local RH.

    Another huge amount of people hopefully stop paying for their license. I've not had one for about 8 years, quicker people realise the better.
    I'm keen to see the Greatest Hits Radio figures since Ken Bruce ended up there. I've been listening to them all day for about 2 months now, miles better than Radio 2 which we had on in the office for the last 3 years.

    I'm sure Burnsy will pop up somewhere, his show was decent. The only reason I didnt have it on in here was the nob prior and nob afterwards meant having to change the radio constantly and it become tiresome. Plus he clashed with Popmaster.

    Seems Burnsy will be missed most for his support of local issues. Are there any independent radio stations in Hull which provide that?
