My lad's 25 Stan and keeps asking me 'Why dad why? Why weren't you born in North London?'

Norwich

When I hear that word the theme tune to Jaws echoes in my mind. We all know it won't end well

My dad was born in North London, his dad was a big Arsenal fan and the stupid twat supported QPR anyway.

It’s not boring though.

Doing Stoke and Bristol City mostly out of a morbid fascination to see what happens. I fear rioting and maybe a sort of General Custer style ending for much of our squad as the masses swarm the pitch from Ellerslie Road.

Chris Martin and Dykes seem too similar in their style of play and can’t play together in my opinion. GAs team selection is going to be key this match and unfortunately I don’t think he has a clear vision of who to play and in what formation.
This is a guy who played a 90 year old 300lb centre forward for three seasons, let’s sign Akinfenwa

I have a plan for Wednesday night to get us a point or three.
It is a cunning plan...we will see. You can thank me Thursday morning

Really couldn't be a*sed to post anything after Saturday's game as everything that needed to be said had already been done.......

Now this one, feck sake, could they just be Charity City for once...........

Reading the last few posts on the Coventry game thread and about Wubba approaching retirement, here's something from yesterday and I'm not sure if I should be flattered or annoyed...... Yesterday (Sunday) we were up in Dublin for the day and travelling back on the tram to the Park and Ride Stop. It's the first time we've been on the trams since Covid so we both wore masks as the tram was fairly full and there was coughing and spluttering everywhere. Anyway Mrs TR gets a seat and I stand in the aisle, when a lass who was sitting opposite looked at me and asked me if I would like to sit down. I obviously thanked her for her kindness but declined the offer......... Does this mean I'm now officially old? Thoughts.......:emoticon-0100-smile

Yes. Live with it.

I was planning a trip to Dublin in June, with the excuse of there being summer football. But the hotels, of all levels, are so insanely expensive we’re going to Estonia instead.

I get this far too often.
Who do these young people think they are offering ME a seat! I have to stop myself being rude to be honest.

I am not that old, we all know that 69 is the new 21.

I suppose it is kind, and very polite, but I don't feel I need it yet...especially when there are young parents and mothers around. I know how tiring that is

I've had that a few times. It's thoughtful and it's kind but I can't help feeling a little offended by it and I've only once taken up the offer - when I was pissed.

Someone called me 'sir' the other day!

Not just the hotels, €4.50 for a coffee, €7 for a pint, Dublin is just one big tourist rip off City, sorry Finglas:emoticon-0100-smile.... Cork is a far nicer option than Dublin, far more accessable and decent quality hotels.....

Thanks for the confirmation about being old......

I'm on the (never ending and getting longer by the day) waiting list for a hip, so I reckon I'd be quite pleased.
