My dad was born in North London, his dad was a big Arsenal fan and the stupid twat supported QPR anyway.

Doing Stoke and Bristol City mostly out of a morbid fascination to see what happens. I fear rioting and maybe a sort of General Custer style ending for much of our squad as the masses swarm the pitch from Ellerslie Road.

Reading the last few posts on the Coventry game thread and about Wubba approaching retirement, here's something from yesterday and I'm not sure if I should be flattered or annoyed...... Yesterday (Sunday) we were up in Dublin for the day and travelling back on the tram to the Park and Ride Stop. It's the first time we've been on the trams since Covid so we both wore masks as the tram was fairly full and there was coughing and spluttering everywhere. Anyway Mrs TR gets a seat and I stand in the aisle, when a lass who was sitting opposite looked at me and asked me if I would like to sit down. I obviously thanked her for her kindness but declined the offer......... Does this mean I'm now officially old? Thoughts.......

I was planning a trip to Dublin in June, with the excuse of there being summer football. But the hotels, of all levels, are so insanely expensive we’re going to Estonia instead.

I am not that old, we all know that 69 is the new 21.

I suppose it is kind, and very polite, but I don't feel I need it yet...especially when there are young parents and mothers around. I know how tiring that is

 

I've had that a few times. It's thoughtful and it's kind but I can't help feeling a little offended by it and I've only once taken up the offer - when I was pissed.

Not just the hotels, €4.50 for a coffee, €7 for a pint, Dublin is just one big tourist rip off City, sorry Finglas.... Cork is a far nicer option than Dublin, far more accessable and decent quality hotels.....
