I would have said Jimmy Dunne as he had to do just about all of Albert’s defensive work as well as his own. But really no individual stood out for me.
Well fcuk me....................... we actually snared a point. It may be that point that keeps us up. As long as we stay up, l'll take as many as we can get. Anything else would be, pointless.
Guessing little Tommy Ince won’t want to rush back from injury now they sacked big daddy. So could be a little bit of good news for us (as they see him as their most influential player ).
Nobody really stood out for me either. Thought Dykes worked hard but he generally does to be honest. I'm struggling to get excited about a point at a very poor West Brom. I will be buzzing if we stay up but then I'm not looking forwards to a future with Ainsworth in charge. Just not my cup of tea.
Good call, it was a revelation to actually hear the announcements, and Firestarter and Insomnia at high volume before kick off.
Just read Clive's report, where he states we played 4-4-2, with Dunne at right back. Did anyone else see it like that? I'm pretty sure it was 3-5-2, with Albert and Paal as wingbacks and Chair ahead of Field and Amos, with Martin and Dykes up top.
I thought Albert was meant to be playing RWB, but to be honest he was caught out of position constantly and Dunne had to cover for him a lot, so I can understand why it might be seen as a back 4. However, on the other side Paal was getting forward a lot more than the last few months, working pretty well with Chair.
First half I'd agree but second half Dunne stood out for me, pretty composed lad, Wallace is supposed to be their star player and did feck all against him, other than a couple of moments early in the first half. Field was decent too.
Were you with the West Brom fans? Why were they so quiet, I thought it was some kind of protest, seen it done (impeccably by both sets of fans) in Germany protesting about Sky buying football. No noise at all until about the 20th minute for some reason.
Was down one of the sides, been there a few times over the last few seasons, get a free ticket, they're always quiet tbh but the one's next to you, do tend to usually be a little bit better than that. They are protesting against the owner, so like you say could be something to do with that.
