And I'm sure that's Liam's fault having been involved in recruiting both of them. So what you're actually saying is that Rosenior is doing fantastically well given you don't rate the players he has to work with, and should do even better when he can bring in his own players.
If we sacked Rosey before a full pre-season that I'd start serious ask questions of the owner. That would be 5 managers in 18 months would be unacceptable.
Rosenior hasn't been able to bring his own players in. He targeted Connolly as one who could make an immediate impact - tick - and gambled on a young player coming in and kicking on - cross. Let's see how he goes targeting a few players over summer, and if it doesn't work, then reset and go again, but the constant chopping and changing won't achieve anything and players will start to see us as a circus.
You disagree? Can't have it both ways mate. Either you rate the players available and think Rosenior is underperforming, or you don't rate them and Rosenior is doing well.
Tin hat on but I don't trust Acun. Nice enough bloke but thought all along we could get burnt chasing "his" dream. Time will tell and I hope I'm very very wrong, but you only have to look at Derby, Wigan, Reading etc to see what could very well happen.
Said it yesterday, but if Acun is dictating the style of play we're only one step removed from him yelling down to the manager about who to sub on/off, or picking the players in the summer to sell. Not the way a club should be run. Look at Chelsea, run in a pretty similar way with Boehly doing whatever he wanted and they're going swimmingly now..
I don't think he'll leave us in the **** and he's done some amazing work off the pitch but his work on the pitch has been extremely poor and he seems to be hiding behind injuries as the reason we aren't higher up the table. It's probably had an impact yes, but the signings haven't been good enough
I don't know. He might not want to leave us in the **** but he's still a businessman at the end of the day and may well decide it's not worth it eventually. He badly needs some help from someone who has been involved in running an English club before, like that bloke, whose name escapes me, who was part of the original takeover group but left in the summer
At no point in Roman's reign were two managers sacked in a single season. Roman also had a Director of Football that wasn't himself. Chelsea now is nothing like what Chelsea was.
I suspect the board might be coming under pressure from sponsors given the last. Month or so's worth of results. That wouldn't surprise me. It's the Sun. There has been a swift response from the club so we're probably getting into overreaction territory.
This is what I wrote from the Acun Out thread in October. He’s changed my mind by what he’s done off the pitch, but if he starts wanting to play Football Manager AGAIN, then he can **** off & take Rodney with him, in fact Del Boy would be more trustworthy.
She doesn't need balls to be your uncle, modern times. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Some managers hit the ground running and then fizzle out, some are a bit of a slow burner. Sometimes it takes time to get used to a managers style and tactics. Maybe Rosies grow on you. I know, I know, I'm putting my coat on already...
I'd just like him to learn from mistakes and sacking Rosie to bring in a foreign manager just wouldn't be that. This summer is huge, and the funny this is the January window was the best window we've had since being back in the Championship. All 3 signings have made a positive impact (Ebiowei frustrates the life out of me but he is better than what we have). We just need another 6-10 in the summer (depending on outgoings) to really build on that.
