Jesus not ****ing exactly syd but he sacked managers regularly Winning a double sacked the season after Won the champions league sacked four months later!! Paid well over a hundred million in compensation to managers And they still won loads
Chazz my point was that Roman didn't run the footballing side himself, he put people in positions to do that for him. Yes he held them to high standards, but he didn't pick the players to buy like Acun has been doing. If you honestly want us to turn into Chelsea mk II then I despair.
Go support Chelsea then mate, I can't actually believe some of our supporters are taking this attitude. What happened to "Silverware we don't care.."
Cheers, missed it as I didn't read through the thread when I woke up. Surprised there's still some indicating they have inside word Acun isn't happy given Baz's indication to the contrary then. Looks like he has a direct interview with Acun coming out in the next day or so too.
Tweet That's Football! @ThatsFootballTV· Follow Vítor Campelos held talks with Hull City over the prospect of taking over the reins there. The Portuguese coach currently presides over G.D. Chaves but could be on his way to the Championship in the summer. [@jac_talbot] 2:48 PM · Apr 3, 2023· 18.7K Views No idea if there is any truth in this.
Good to hear the club has quashed the rumour, of course, all well run clubs should have contingency plans in place should Liam leave for a better job or at some point not achieve what the owner expects. Like Brighton, who move for De Zerbi when Potter left. Maybe this is where this story started to grow legs?
Very worrying if the teams coming down from the PL are teams like Everton, Leicester, Southampton. That would make promotion even harder if not impossible for a good few years
Even after watching one of the most boring city matches ever on Saturday,i would stick with Rosie for now, lets see how he gets "his" squad ready for next season then decide, personally i want it to work for him.....as other posters have said it will be very hard next season with the possibility of Everton and Leicester coming down or even west ham....defo want tws down though!!!
How the hell what he has done on the pitch been poor... In the summer he bought Oscar for nothing, paid for Tufan, paid for Tetteh, paid for Sinik, Darnbrough probably suggested Woods, bought Traore, got Christie on a free. Are you honestly going to tell me theres not a profit there. In his interview yesterday apparently Christie sighted the pitches as an issue. That legacy goes back to you know where. Then in January he supported his manager with Ebiowei, Connolly and Darlow, 2 of which are likely duds. All he's ever tried to do is to excite the fans. For anyone to question Acun at this stage is beyond me.
Who are the 2 duds from January? Connolly and Darlow have been fantastic. Investment in the training pitches is a must as well as proper physio and medical staff ahead of next season. The new training grounds is a pipe dream, but we need investment now to help protect the most valuable assets - the players.
