Not for me, not miles better anyway. I like the lad a lot but thought he's struggled a bit at times this season. Just my opinion. Chuffed he's back mind.
I don't think we know the best position for Alese yet ... ... don't think he does but he's a good football player.
I reckon Alese will end up as a CB. Him and Ballard would be a quality partnership with a year or two more experience imo.
Yeah, I'd be looking at that sort of figure plus sell ons and additional appearances payments. Knocking on for 20 plus maybe 20%
Football transfers have gone mental over the last few years. The scum were offering £30m for some Watford striker in the summer
I love Batth, a proper old school defender, but I wouldn't be against giving Ballard the armband next season, especially if Evans struggles to recover.
What he's worth and what we should accept are different in my view. What he's actually worth is maybe around £8-10m but we need to look at Harry Souttar as the benchmark. He had a bit more experience and was a bit of a higher profile, but he went for £15m rising to £20m. We've got to demand the bottom end of that at the very least if clubs come knocking for him.
Yeah. He is a top player and some PL clubs who want a low to mid range investment for massive potential and sell on should be looking. Ballard is absolutely quality and a baby in terms of centre halfs. I wouldn't underestimate the influence of Barrth too. He wis vital in learning Ballard the dark arts and the little sneaky tricks that make a difference. They actual compliment each other superbly. .
Agree. Our recruitment and player management policy is currently largely excellent. Light years away from our time under Ellis' ownership. Those who are critical of KS need to take note.
Cowardice is not the word I would use, but I get your meaning. in my eyes another "c " word fits him, and the crime as that is what it was and GBH level imo.
We’ve done some good deals recently but £2 million for Ballard has got to be one of the best. Batth for free wasn’t bad either.
