Hello new poster, I don't know if it escaped your vision, but there's a thread not far below this with a lot of pages about this very topic. If you ask nicely, I'm sure Acid-Hippo, our gay and friendly mod, will merge it in for you <ok>

If Newcastle Brown Ale bought the naming rights to our stadium?

    "The Newcastle Brown Ale Stadium"

That would be mint! Can anyone think of any other awesome stadium names or cool companies who'd buy naming rights?

    Trying to be positive here...

What do you think the players will think of this? Especially Saylor and Shola! Might cause a little rift between players and owners again

see I'm in a weird place I'm not ****ed of with this or happy with it at all i think what i am and have been for a while now is 'resigned' (saw this coming when other clubs talked about it or have done it) as AH said this is going to be the norm in football.Money men in football want to squeeze every penny they can from their investment hence the craic a while back about certain owners wanting a closed shop with no relegation and games played in places like Dubai for extortionate fees. This will not be the last as we see it mad cap ideas to generate revenue gone are the days of the old owners it's all about the money and **** tradition unless it makes money of course

i tend to look on the bright side of things, but: exactly this ^

he'll do it with the shirt sponsor too, and then claim that no-one is offering a fair deal, ensuring he gets maximum free advertising from the club. I wouldnt mind if he sorted out an amount to essentially pay himself that would go toward paying off the debt or new players or whatever, but he wont.

could be worse, we could be on 10 points as well
