Someone on Sky Sports News claimed the fans wanted them to follow Newcastle's link with the Sports Direct Arena.

Evening guys, as a neutral towards you i believe this name change is a freaking joke. I've watched football since i was in nappies, and it's always been St. James' Park. It's as if Mike Ashley thought "Right, things have been going pretty well, and the toon army doesn't hate me so much now, so i must get thier blood boiling again soon" If he were arsenal owner, i'd personally punch him.

Funny idea, but literally nobody will see the I ****ing Hate, and will instead just notice a sea of red & blue sports direct logos. If you want to wave anything en masse at a home match it should be adverts for JJB sports or something.

    Good point!

It'd also be way too subtle if it read ...****EDITECT.com for the same reason.

Maybe it needs something more direct but not as totally provocative as "Ashley is a sh!t" etc - perhaps more like:

    "Mike Ashley knows
    the price of everything,
    but the value of nothing"

Hurt him where he thinks he's a real wheeler-dealer.
