Of all the clubs that could be accused of racism, Palace would be funniest...
I think the argument about racism in football refers to the managers not the players.
It just feels like we’re waiting for the first really successful black manager to blaze a trail. And once they have it’ll stop it either being an issue, or a presumption of being an issue, whichever it is.
Hopefully that man will be Liam Rosenior…
Any racism against football players would be obvious because we can all see who is best by their performances on the pitch.
With managers there are so many factors to be taken into account and fans dont know a lot of what goes on so it's more difficult to judge.
My personal opinion is that Viera was sacked because the American investors panicked about the possibility of relegation.
His position wasnt helped by claims that he was too soft on the under performing players.
He also didnt help himself by getting rid of Shaun Derry in January. Derry was a lot less forgiving with players who were playing poorly.

the club hasnt supported Veira with signings
Palace are playing teams below them which could mean they have a better chance of beating them but it also means that if they lose a match teams could go above them
their 12th position they have stuck to wont last much longer
I don't know why they got rid of Vieira,it was baffling.They had a hard run of games but now go on a run of potential 6 pointers...A couple of wins against relegation rivals would see them safe,a couple of losses and they could go down.
I wish him well and if I had to put money on it I'd say they'll survive.
Think they'll just have enough - games against Leicester, Leeds, Everton and Southampton coming up so they need to get a few points from those.

It's mental how quickly managers who are highly rated as the next big thing get discarded when things get a bit tough.
It must be expensive paying managers off all the time, and clearly all these resets and start-overs must make it hard for clubs to develop their teams in the long term. It's rare that a manager ever gets to stay in a job long enough to have a squad entirely of his own.
It's so strange to me that football is this immensely competitive environment where everyone is looking for the next tiny marginal performance gain, yet clubs are so reckless when it comes to appointing and sticking with managers. Palace surely were on a good path with Vieira and with a bit of backing they might've gone places.
