Yep...its a no brainer....but this is SAFC. I live in hope our recruitment is now so much better than it has been in the past
I agree we should try to snap him up at that price. He’s a lovely footballer who has proved himself this season. It would still be dependent on him wanting to sign though and this is where people should understand the agreement usually sets the price in stone, not the contract. If Fulham are offering higher wages, premier league football etc we might find it difficult to persuade him not to leave even if we have a price pre agreed with PSG
Mags are supposed to be keeping an eye on him as well according to this https://www.si.com/soccer/sunderlan...P7dRUffkCfoo5LEhNu6-alydO87I97Dfvj2E8y2M6JWvI
Would be an absolutely huge mistake if we don't try to sign him on a permanent for that sort of money, fingers crossed we do and the lad likes it here. He looks a proper talent already.
I'd have thought the proof was in the pudding. Just think of the team we had before KLD became involved
Obviously a good player and probably more suited to the PL although he's not shy of a tackle ... .. but, as with them all, I'd only want him here if his heart's really in it. We've carried more hapless passengers than the Ryanair service to Benidorm.
It was mentioned on the match thread that he was annoyed at being subbed, so hopefully he wants to be part of the team
I want players to be here for the club, supporters, coaches, style, opportunity etc ... ... I never want us to bribe another Will Grigg or even a Ross Stewart.
Best midfielder of ours on the park again tonight and once again he got hooked. Don't know what he has to do to stay on for 90 minutes.
He'll be our player next season. We didn't negotiate the buy option for the fun of it we're clearly willing to pay it. He'll be happy with the football side of things and there are plenty of French speakers in the squad so hopefully he's happy in general and wouldn't have his head turned easily.
There's a lot in our squad like that, but I'm a firm believer that if he's playing well, leave him on.
