In fact a lot of analysis shows - at least over here - show a much smaller highlights package than MOTD does, with most using highlights to emphasis points of analysis - as MOTD does after the main package. So most places actually think people are LESS interested in highlights during an analysis show, rather than more.

You're just making it up. Pete says so.

Are you seriously asking for examples of sports analysis shows in other countries?

3 nights a week, Australian:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AFL_360

Daily, American:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SportsCenter

Weekly, Australian (*gasp* they even talk about tennis occasionally):
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Offsiders

I could go on.
None of these are analysis shows
they are either news programs or talking about issues in the news
none of them analyse play in matches like they do on MOTD

Bit strange to use them speaking out and reporting on Qatar human rights as some sort of hypocrisy for them similarly calling out the legal issues in the UK. Seems rather consistent to me. But then that tweeter has his own history so hardly surprising.

There’s no way the Premier League will be happy with last nights show.

They’ll rely on the analysis to form part of the narratives of the league. This form of programme won’t continue on any terrestrial channel.

WSL match live on BBC2 with commentary, no presentation, analysis/pundits.
Male commentator for international audience.
