I would happily listen to Mr Lineker if he was talking Football.
I have no doubts that he knows far more about it that I do.

But I don't have the same level of confidence when he gets into recent History.
I too have my doubts about The Governments Policy.
I am very much aware that almost every UK citizen will have immigrant DNA, if their ancestry is checked far enough back.
But since entering the country illegally is against the Law, this makes it a crime. It is not easy to suggest that criminals should be given automatically, the right to stay.

To compare this to the events in the 1930,s in Germany suggests to me that he should FIRST read up on a subject BEFORE making such comparisons.
To use a very simple example, the people The German (democratically elected) Government were encouraging their citizens to attack, were themselves other German Citizens.
They were to be attacked because of their Race, the Gypsies, or their religion. the Jews.

Sorry Garry.
However much I stretch my credulity I just don't see the comparison.
Then again I'm only going by what I have read on The Internet, so Mr L might have been misquoted.

BBC are supposed to be impartial so they can't have him spouting his biased drivel at paying customers. if he wants to spout off he can get himself a soap box in Hyde park corner and spout all the shyte he wants,
From what I'm reading on Twitter it comes down to how his contract with the BBC is worded. Former Tory MP Anna Sourbry reckons he is 'freelance' contractually and not necessarily bound by those rules. Not a clue if that's true or not BTW.

He is "self employed", and not an employee of the BBC. He can work for who he wants (besides the BBC) and is NOT bound by the rules of any employer including the BBC. Massive "own goal" here by Boris's plant of a Director General. ****ing hell man David Attenborough <laugh>

Yeah, that's what I'm picking up from it all. Haven't followed the Attenborough story tbh. What have they done to him?

Edit: this is what Soubry said....

Unbelievable Jeff

Hope they all get the boot. Striking from a footy highlights show because your mate uses stupid language. Whatever next for these media folk. Match of the day has been beige for years, now they want to stand on a political platform, when they have had the chance to stand on football issues for year. What a joke of a bunch.

I have to say mind, it is ****ing fabulous to see those previously screaming for individuals to be cancelled for saying things less offensive than Lineker - and often for merely having a different opinion - now clutching their pearls.

This is what happens when the rules are applied equally.

Really <laugh>

FFS man, you're never happier than when you think you've got one over other people ...

... do you really believe anyone really cares what happens to Lineker.

Perhaps I'm wrong and someone really is 'clutching their pearls' ... anyone?
