Manchester City are an awesome team, one of the best, if not the best in the world
We switched off for their opener but after that we more than matched them until half time and we should have had a penalty!!!!

Very proud of Nige and the lads !! Now go and give Cardiff a kicking on Saturday!

I thought the whole back for did well tbh. Yes Vyner had 2 or 3 dodgy passes out from the back, and Tanner was badly caliche out of position for the first goal. But they stuck together as a unit. Kalas was immense, but I was also impressed with how Vyner has grown as a voice in the team. He was the one marshalling the back 3, repeatedly he was the one calling the back 4 up to form the defensive line.
Things you don’t always see on tv.

Ah well, no glorious giant killing this time.
Man C were simply better all over the park. Their passes were spot on and their positioning immense.
We did well too - we matched them for a lot of the game, but in the end they were clinical and we weren’t.
Well done Nige and the boys - absolutely no disgrace whatsoever.
All our lads did well, but a special mention to Kalas - what a game he had. Immense.

Interesting, and quite pointed that on the BBC highlights of nearly 3 minutes, it doesn't show the penalty claim we had that was turned down in the first half !

We did do well last night but I feel Man C had a few more gears to go if needed..
I think it was mentioned that at the start of the game they had a substitute bench of players worth £350mill!! I’m just really happy that we gave it a go, the players and fans got a taste of what could be if we ever got to the prem and that we never got a hiding.. it will be interesting how that has affected them going into the Cardiff game..
I’m not going to down play any of our players for last night’s performance, I thought they all put in a decent shift and can be proud of their efforts..

Thought they all played really well, played well as a unit and ran until they dropped. Wouldn’t criticise any of them. Kalas, Pring and Scott stood out for me. Scott particularly in the first half.

Or the second early chance for Bell, nor the Alex Scott effort on target in the 1st half. Rubbish....

well a good result really.. quite a few established Prem sides dont get off that light .... didnt get to see the game till after midnight. Thought we were definetly a good league plus below their level! They always seemed to have a player umarked tightly in the corners whether attacking or defending .. Foden seemed to be able to one of them ... 2 goals? for him ... think maybe 1 and an own goal definite change of direction on the ball the wrong way!
All in all a a fair result.............

Come a long long way under Nige and his team.

Fantastic effort by the boys-cannot fault them against one of the worlds best teams.

Next year is going to be exciting year.

    I'm with 1For on last night's game.
Firstly ManCity murder most in the Prem so I'm not knocking us.
We had brief spells in both halves but I never felt we were properly in the game from the time Phillips hit the bar.
Knew before they were on a different planet but for all the atmosphere and sheer effort I felt slightly disappointed leaving AG.
Suppose it's the realisation how far away we, and all bar half a dozen football league clubs, are from Man City.
Sometimes you need to be kicked in the balls to know it hurts.

Kalas head and shoulders above any other red shirt.
Scott showed real class in the first half, quiet in the second.
Hope Kalas signs a new deal and Atkinson get's fit for our first game next season.
Whatever happens, I'm certain NP will sign another CB in the summer.

He's another Mark Aizelwood, blame all around him when it was his fault.
Vyner's arms flailing berating others for an offside and it was HIM keeping them on.
The Franz B impression was frankly hilarious, thank God Kalas baled him out.

I thought Foden was fast seeing him on TV. But he surprised me by how fast he actually was. And he knew where to find space.
Rico Lewis is also going to be a top player.
Usual suspects sorry suspect knocking Vyner. But he kept World Cup winner Alveres quiet. Made some errors but if you watched the city players around not finding space left him little to pass to.

It was like they had an extra man in and out of possession. Their ability to press everywhere at such speed impressed me. It rattled us, as we’re not used to that tempo

One thing that did piss me off. Every game I go to I go to the coffee shop, grab a latte and bite to eat. But v Man City both times and Man U they close it off for hospitality functions. I bet they take enough money on match days anyway the queues in there. So turning it into about 10 tables for plastics to get in pisses me off.
Hope if we ever get to the Prem they don’t do this all the time.
I hate fake coffee machine lattes, with my prostate all I do is want to piss all game on ****e vending machine rubbish.

    Try beer ROD.
My bladder can take around 5 pints of the stuff before I need a piss, whereas any other drink goes straight through me.
    I’m sure there’s a scientific explanation…..
