They sound poncy thats why. Like when i ask for a large coffee at Nero and some italian student corrects me by saying graaande to the coffee maker. Puts me off the coffee.
My daughter made lemon drizzle cake. Well made, not too overpowering, it was just right tbf. Whumfed it down.
You need a nice treacle sponge pudding with custard. Use to love that, even if it wasn't very good for the teeth lol
I absolutely loved those tinned steam puddings back in the day. The jam one in particular but I think it had treacle running through it? Just thinking about it I might go and buy some tomorrow.
Now you mention the jam one, I'm sure it use to burn the roof of my mouth lol. Only because I was a pig and couldn't wait for it to cool down.
Yeh that was the one Worth the pain though. And they never looked that huge but if you ate one you knew about it. I think we used to split it bcos it was quite a lot. They were delicious.
