They got that appointment so wrong, Jones was well out of his depth and relegation is a certainty now.

Southampton need to be very careful with their next choice of manager.

In my opinion they need to decide that the process is more important than an immediate result. Throwing everything in the bin for survival is what many clubs did who are now stuck in the Championship.

They have a lot of talented young players who could win the Championship with ease next season and play nice football doing so, if the worst comes to the worst.

The last thing they should do is make an appointment based on the short term.

If the worst comes to the worst they'll sell their best players and go down again ...

... the Southampton model seems to have come unglued, reminds me of my attempts with Airfix <laugh>

He has almost talked himself out of a job there. Some really bizarre comments that I suspect the players didnt like.

Like others have said couldnt really fathom why he was appointed. Better young british managers around if that is the way they wanted to go.

Jones has been an utter arsehole. Managed Luton, left fir stoke, got sacked by stoke, went back to Luton, left for Southampton . Ridiculous state of a bloke imo
Didnt you know Luton were one of the best coached teams in Europe when he was there. He will be at Bayern next mate.
