So that was the plan all along. Sack Jones, and introduce the new manager at the fans forum. Lol
I’d take Dave Merrington at this point. Please, please, please.
“Ladies and gentlemen, we’re delighted to bring Mauricio back to the club”.
I’d take Dave Merrington at this point.
If the option was there, would anyone fancy going back to Mark Hughes?
There’s no escaping the hard facts for SR and Rasmus in particular.
A week ago the big inescapable question that needed answering was how and why Jones was appointed and do they stand by that appointment.
Given today’s developments, the question of NJ’s future is now clearly one that has to be considered. To not act now needs to be justified. So how/why he was appointed will still need answering, but how he remains in post is now the bigger question that must be answered (and they know this).
So either they must have an answer ready , or else must act beforehand.
To call a Forum at all does seem odd (much easier to hide away right now). The idea that there’s an announcement coming of some sort holds some credence
I’d agree, except the forum was announced before today’s **** show.
Ian Branfoot anyone?I’d welcome Clive Woodward with open arms.
Ian Branfoot anyone?
I fail to see any scenario where this forum won’t be utter carnage, other than Jones being sacked tonight.
It seems obvious to me that the reason this was called now was because of the high levels of spend in January. When they organised it they probably thought it was the best time to get this out of the way and could point to how much was invested in Jan to shut anyone up who was talking about on field matters with lines like “we have invested and expect results”. They obviously couldn’t have foreseen the **** performance today and Jones’ comments that have wound people up even more
