I'm very much of the opinion that if we're to stay up, then we need to win successive PL games at some point. Not necessarily three or four in a row (though that would be nice!), but two I'm sure will need to happen.
This weekend and next is an outside chance of that. Do I expect it? No. But am I completely ruling it out? Also no.
I think I'm right in saying that the last time we won successive PL games was February last year. Almost a whole year ago! That is an utterly appalling statistic. Our next PL game was then that horror show at Villa Park, and we've basically been awful for 11 months ever since. (Are we allowed to look at this season in conjunction with last season yet, or is that still frowned upon?...)

new manager, half a new first team, brand new year, not much to compare really. lets see how it goes.

If his hold up play, chest downs and flick ons are quality, then in theory we will create more. Worked with Ricky, though he had a lot to his game. Can’t remember how good Pelle’s hold up play was.
Surprised they are in the squad if they only arrived Thursday - probably just 1 training session if that.
I’d be surprised usually but we are up sh!t creek and they are the paddle.
