Looks like the deal for Cerli has gone through as the paperwork for his year loan is being finalised

Universitario de Deportes will add a new player to its 2023 squad. This is Yuriel Celi , who will come on loan for one season, from Hull City, a club with which Carlos A. Mannucci reached an agreement.

Although certain details are still missing so that his arrival at the cream institution is formal, the 'U' board is waiting for all the documentation of the transaction to then carry out the assignment.

Days ago, in dialogue with the BBC, Liam Rosenior, Hull City coach , referred to the attacker, although without mentioning his name, adding that he has a lot of potential and the loan will be for one year.

Thus, in the next few hours, Universitario de Deportes would formalize Yuriel Celi as the new footballer in the team led by the Argentine Carlos Compagnucci. The chalaco, trained at the Cantolao Academy, will wear the cream shirt in the Betsson League 1 and Copa Sudamericana 2023, after passing medical tests.

Looks like they play in Copa Libertadores which helps towards his work permit as well

The midfielder Ndayishimiye we missed out on in the summer for a few million is now going to Nice for €16 million…ouch

Yeah, I said as much that he’d be well out of our price range by January. We could’ve gotten him for about £4 million in the summer and he would’ve made our midfield so much more balanced. Oh well.

It’s not like we didn’t try, he wanted a lot of money and we couldn’t afford it with Seri and Tufan as well, so we moved for Woods instead.

Yeah, I remember you saying. Still, it shows how flawed our summer transfer policy was that we went from looking at a ball-winning CDM who’s built like a brick ****house and is actually really good on the ball as well, to Ryan Woods. We needed a like-for-like upgrade on Smallwood. Ndayishimiye or someone of that ilk would’ve been the player; Woods wasn’t.

Apparently in for Thierry Ambrose from Oostende, according to Belgian papers. Was on the books at Man City. 5 goals in 30 apps.
