Sh1t during warm up !!
I watched Gilhas in training at Millhouse Woods Lane. He looked nothing more than an above average 21 year old Sunday league player. He also came with a driver, a minder, a translator, his agent and his father, all of whom may or may not have been on the pay roll. His grasp of English foul language was excellent, it has to be said. I thought at the time that the whole deal surrounding his transfer was dodgy. Could be wrong. What happened to him when he left City? Did he go on to greater things, considering his young age?

Wasn't it him that Adam Pearson said, after coming back to City and seeing the financial mess we were in, that they'd been offered at Derby for far less than we'd ultimately paid for him?

wasn't there a thing surrounding him and allardyce sharing an agent or have I been told porkies?

I asked Adam Pearson the question at a forum. His face was a picture as he explained that the fee, I believe 1.7 mill and more so the agents fee, think about 200k was totally inappropriate for a Spanish league 2 player.
Pretty sure Ghlias was on the agency books of a company Duffen was involved with.

He wasn't that young, he was actually 28 when he finally left us and though he didn't exactly go on to greatness, he did have a very good season at Reims on loan from us in his final season (scored 14 in 35 and played a significant role in getting them promoted to Ligue 1).

The thing with Ghilas was he and Altidore looked to hit it off together like Katie Price and a pile of dicks, I think it was at home against Bolton. And for some reason that was the one and only time they played together.

They were brilliant together in that game...

Played in some very attractive places to live and visit. And spent time in Hull as well.
