Your sounding like the right wing hacks slagging off a striking Rail worker for wearing an expensive coat. Am I now not allowed to buy anything over £50 because I feel our pay ain’t great.? Your post was probably the most stupid, ill thought out post of the decade….congratulations
Honestly though, one of my work mates bought one for himself, says it's amazing. He's an avid golfer and reckons it's really realistic - and he can play the Old Course at St Andrews which would probably cost you £200 in real life!
It not often I’m completely blown away with tech but I was with this…..the prospects for it are endless. Education could be revamped and kids could actually be engaged to learn and find lessons interesting. Training on different jobs could also be enhanced……it’s the future
Have you ever seen the film Gamer with Gerard Butler? That shows how grim the future can be with this kind of tech...
The new Avatar film. Colours, images CGI are beautiful. That’s about it for positives. Otherwise; The plot is dreadful. The acting largely dreadful. Characters poor (especially the human kid who has to wear a mask permanently). Wait for the Amazon download and for a rainy/snowed-in day when you really can spare 3 hours of your life. Otherwise, don’t bother.
I haven’t…..but can see how it could be used for some unsavoury acts….i gues all tech has its bad side
Sad that I’ve just finished the last episode of the last series of “Alexei Sayles Imaginary Sandwich Bar” Not often that something has me laughing out loud, but this did in abundance. Like me, he’s not a great fan of the Tories OR Labour
Alexei is a legend in his own lunchtime. Absolutely no compromises with him. There’d be no Stewart Lee or Frankie Boyle (who I have mixed feelings about) without him.
There's something about Frankie Boyle - I like him, but when we saw him live it was all a bit too much, shock-horror stuff just for the sake of it, which wasn't funny. He's done a couple of travel docs for BBC Scotland which have been quite good, interspersed with some stand-up, but he also does a panel/chat/topical news show which is pretty garbage (the guests are generally ****). Be interesting to see how he does on the next season of Taskmaster though...
Just had the most thorough workout ever on our Reebok treadmill. I was deconstructing it in preparation for moving house this week. **** me it weighs a ton. But not as much as a washing machine, which was sold today and as a result the boy and myself had to carry it through the house and up some steps in the garden to the buyer’s car. Both recommended for a weights workout, though I really had to focus on posture, terrified of back injury (one of the things I’ve been lucky enough to avoid….so far). Shoulders and arms aching now though.
Yeah, when I hear him talking sensibly, not trying to be funny, he comes across as very intelligent. In performance just a very angry man. Perhaps he’s more influenced by Jerry Sadowitz, who I don’t get at all, than Sayle.
What I like about Alexei is that he is more than willing to take the piss out of himself and his past. He’s just very funny and very surreal…..which makes him even funnier. Know what you mean about Boyle…..I honestly don’t get him and he seems more akin with the obnoxious, aggressive comedians of the 70’s than anything else. And he seems like a **** as well
Haven't seen much of him myself for a while, but used to enjoy him on Mock the Week back in the day. Still makes me smile when I remember one of his lines: I was hosting a dinner party and one of the guests asked if there was a vegetarian option. I replied 'yes, you can **** off'. Probably doesn't do it justice on here. Must have been a while ago, would be vegan these days.
I read Boyle’s autobiography and he didn’t come across as particularly likeable at all. I did giggle a bit when he said of Jamie Oliver “that boy’s done well for himself despite mild Downs”.
