I've said it before but i'd love for him to come back to us in some capacity when he finally hangs up his boots, the man is a natural born leader and winner.
I think this article gives the best indication that had we signed a striker in the summer, we'd be doing absolutely fine and Ralph would still be here. Look at where we are in the expected goals table. Premier League: What the numbers say about how teams are really doing - BBC Sport
You say that but some people said it was down to having a **** manager or an entirely **** squad for where we are. Neither of which is true IMO.
Also while it’s not easy to get a consistent goal scorer, it’s better than not having a goal scorer AND not creating chances. We have been pretty **** at times, but also have fallen the wrong side of fine margins many more times this season. We have Tino and KWP coming back who are both positive attacking threats and I’m very confident we will make signings during the window which would not have been the case if we were still under Gao. As much as the Lincoln performance was utter ****, I don’t think you can or should use that as barometer for future performances under NJ for a number of reasons. We’re also, despite the time of year under half way through the season so plenty of time to turn it around. There are reasons to be positive out there despite things not looking great, just depends which side of the fence you want to look.
