Our warm up shots go in - in the game well that’s another story - we need to shoot to have a chance , preferably on target !
I thought the keepers were good in the warm up.

when I watch City we always have a laugh predicting how we will have a ball , or a free kick or a throw in on the half way line and contrive to pass all the way back to our goalkeeper via defenders
If we had Haaland some would say he should be in the under 23s or even better loaned out to some lower league club to gain experience.
Now Now Peter!! You'll be accused of having a 'narrative'when I watch City we always have a laugh predicting how we will have a ball on the half way line and contrive to pass all the way back to our goalkeeper via defenders
To Colombia?Do you think oscar could go right back?
Well, if we had Haaland playing for us we might do the same!
I suppose because there should be a trigger that if it comes back to the keeper he should launch it up field. As you say, it's going round in circles but perhaps because we keep seeing the same goal get conceded. Playing out from the back is fine but when you're passing it around and getting pressed surely it indicates there'll be space up field to exploit with a quick ball?
Looking back at the Blackpool away highlights, it seems inconceivable that Docherty didn’t start the home game too. He was outstanding in that game, capping the performance with sumptuous goal. The other big factors were Greaves getting forward much more, Longman playing up top, and Pelkas having one of his best games for us. Ok, with the latter injured, playing Longman wide and Oscar up top made sense. But Greaves needs to be allowed to go forward more, and the Doc is surely worthy of a start.
I think that’s a huge shame. He’ll be going then, I guess.Rosie doesn’t rate Doc, loves his application and effort, but doesn’t think he’s gifted enough.

That’s probably true but then what does he see in Woods?
He can acyially pass. Cant run for **** tho.
Longman can’t passHe seems to like players who can pass. Our squad built by McCann was largely the opposite of that: lots of high energy players with less of the quality on the ball. I suspect Rosenior might not have rated Honeyman for the same reason, if he was still here.
Sideways and backwards. How many passes does he make forward and how many of those are completed? He can’t tackle, he’s not an aerial presence, he’s not exactly a box-to-box player who covers every blade of grass. I really don’t understand what he offers the team. Stick Doc next to Seri and you’re at least guaranteed someone whose energy will cause problems even if he lacks technical ability. And I actually think Doc’s passing, vision and first touch has improved a lot since last season.

He’s spot on but Doch does seem to have improved his touch . Problem for me is like woods and everybody’s hero Meyler ( I liked him too very underrated ) he and they only look and play in the way they face , they seem unable to look about or elsewhere for other options , it’s very limiting .Rosie doesn’t rate Doc, loves his application and effort, but doesn’t think he’s gifted enough.
