By the way, I thought we did well. Yes, certain things didn’t tick the way we would have wanted, we dominated for large periods, but the French scored two excellent goals. The ref was a fool, sure, but it’s the World Cup, and the standard is always questionable.
I don’t feel we were cheated, or done over by dark arts, this was, as an old teacher of mine used to overly say, “how the cookie crumbles”.

Good luck to the French, I would like them to win now. They’ve played with the straightest bat of those that are left, I feel. The Moroccans would be second choice. And I wouldn’t mind seeing Messi lift the trophy either, if only to show kids that a Messi attitude to life is better than a Ronaldo one.

And may this be the last World Cup not held in June! :emoticon-0121-angry

Last thoughts I’ll have for this WC have to be for the many migrants probably unnecessarily killed to make this tournament happen. May the Qataris in charge who had such a disregard for the value of the migrants’ lives, and those of their families, forever be remembered for the despicable bastards they have been. “Visit Qatar” the adverts say! My hairy arse.

Then they will be the first to turn onto the England team etc when we lose ..

I think we did well after going behind and a bit unlucky on occasions but had our own chances and goals were easily given away.

Also knew Giroud would score after hearing Rio Ferdinand say he was old and not a threat !

The Euros in Germany in 2024 are a realistic target Frenchie, a lot of European teams are going through a rebuilding process at the moment. Also beer in the stadiums will be no problem - in fact it's compulsory in Germany <laugh> Who will we get playing in Cologne ???? - the Netherlands would be unreal in terms of support.
 
A classic case there of if you just run at a defence with pace something might go your way ..
