I'm placing my trust in the fans stopping the Saudis getting anywhere near us. Sure there are fans who don't care where the money comes from and are/would support a takeover by anybody with massive wealth. I've supported the team for a long time but I don't think I could actively cheer them on through any period of blood money ownership. The thing is, the next owners won't be the owners forever either. Maybe I will switch to Everton until it's safe to come back![]()
Commiserations on the loss of your right nipple.Does anyone know John Henry's email address? I'm considering making a bid. I'm pretty sure it will be substantially less than the Saudis bid... But worth a try. He's already rich enough. $25 and a photo of my left nipple, it's all I've got, but I bet the Sauds aren't offering nipple pics... And that probably what he really wants.
After all these years I'm not sure I could give up watching us, but any victories would seem empty - like cheating at a card game or something, you get the spoils but deep down you know you haven't earned it.As said above, I wouldn't stop supporting. I'd enjoy the nice signings and investments, no doubt- but I wouldn't be happy at the owner and the moral cost. I'd weep tears of joy out my left eye, and tears of despair out my right.
Maybe I'm just too ready to believe things that are said that I would like to happen. I'm inclined to take people at their word unless and until they prove to be untrustworthy. John Henry has said that he is not only looking at the sale from a financial point of view but also as to who he will sell to. I know it's been said on here that he won't care because he'll be gone but I would like to think that he will leave us in good hands. Not every owner is a scoundrel, out for the money and nothing else.Don't think they'll have any influence mate, hope I'm wrong.

I'm bemused that anybody thinks that there will be any sort of action if LFC are taken over by anybody as long as they've got money.
Do you think Liverpool fans are more conscientious than city or Newcastle or Chelsea fans?
There will be a small minority that get the huff for a while, but the vast majority will be made up that they can compete.
Sauron himself could ride in to anfield, complete with a horde of orcs and as long as they brought mbappe and Bellingham with them, people would rejoice.

If we could sign Sauron up front that would be brill!!!

I don't know. People complain about how old Milner is. Sauron has Milner beat by a few years.
Yes and no. I don't think fans of different teams are more or less conscientious in general. However, I do think our relative experiences might shape our perspectives.
City, Chelsea, Newcastle hadn't exactly been rolling in recent success at the time of their acquisitions. Their fans probably really glad to see a route to glory.
I don't think Liverpool fans are more moral than other fans, but our recent successes mean we are probably less hungry for success and less desperate to be bought by money. We've had glory without the money.
As for will people protest... Maybe, but it will be a rumble rather than anything major. People will express discontent but there won't be anyone marching with burning torches and pitchforks in the middle of the night.
Do you care who buys us, couldn't give a **** as long as we can compete in the transfer market with the usual suspects.
As said previously. Yes I care. But I'm not going to stop being a fan regardless of who owns us.
Still think he would be magic upfront
It’s brill isn’t itAy up lad,
The boys football is going well, top of the table clash this weekend. Ran out 5-2 winners. It was intense.
Better than a cup final.
