After all these years I'm not sure I could give up watching us, but any victories would seem empty - like cheating at a card game or something, you get the spoils but deep down you know you haven't earned it.
I'm proud that we've managed to compete with the blatant financial doping of City, I really don't want us to be on the same side as them.

I'd rather we were ****e than some of the alternative owners and the unfair and damaging practices they bring .

Maybe I'm just too ready to believe things that are said that I would like to happen. I'm inclined to take people at their word unless and until they prove to be untrustworthy. John Henry has said that he is not only looking at the sale from a financial point of view but also as to who he will sell to. I know it's been said on here that he won't care because he'll be gone but I would like to think that he will leave us in good hands. Not every owner is a scoundrel, out for the money and nothing else.

    only time will tell.

IMO the fans need to make a very very very strong statement first game back after the blood cup. Be that a mass walk out or banners saying no to bloody money or whatever.

We can't sit idly by while he even ranks the blood money alongside the chancers. if he wants to sell then sell but they have to manage it in a way thats making sure in no uncertain terms the fans feelings are known.

And fenway might just go up in smoke one night if he thinks he can just walk way. (not really but still)

One of the biggest, if not the biggest, problem of social media is that there is a huge amount of people who let others think for them. We know about mob mentality and how some individuals go along with things as part of a group that they would never do of their own accord. Social media amplifies that enormously and so there are those who will look at what others are saying and use those opinions instead of formulating their own or will push their own thoughts about some subjects to one side thinking that their views can't be 'right' if so many others have the opposite view.

I'm going down the Hitler argument route here which is never the best way to go but it's the first example that came to mind when questioning how large amounts of people can be persuaded into an idea or ideology that is abhorrent and think it somehow has merit. It's why those with an alternative view should never stay silent.

I'm bemused that anybody thinks that there will be any sort of action if LFC are taken over by anybody as long as they've got money.

Do you think Liverpool fans are more conscientious than city or Newcastle or Chelsea fans?

There will be a small minority that get the huff for a while, but the vast majority will be made up that they can compete.

Sauron himself could ride in to anfield, complete with a horde of orcs and as long as they brought mbappe and Bellingham with them, people would rejoice.

Yes and no. I don't think fans of different teams are more or less conscientious in general. However, I do think our relative experiences might shape our perspectives.

City, Chelsea, Newcastle hadn't exactly been rolling in recent success at the time of their acquisitions. Their fans probably really glad to see a route to glory.

I don't think Liverpool fans are more moral than other fans, but our recent successes mean we are probably less hungry for success and less desperate to be bought by money. We've had glory without the money.

As for will people protest... Maybe, but it will be a rumble rather than anything major. People will express discontent but there won't be anyone marching with burning torches and pitchforks in the middle of the night.

Not mobile enough. Unless we want to go for the big lad upfront approach.

I don't know. People complain about how old Milner is. Sauron has Milner beat by a few years.

I think it may be a generational thing perhaps. Most on here are slightly older, seen a thing or two.

I always put things of this nature to my boys, European super league, all for it for example.

Do you care who buys us, couldn't give a **** as long as we can compete in the transfer market with the usual suspects.

As said previously. Yes I care. But I'm not going to stop being a fan regardless of who owns us.

Remember this. It wasn't a rushed, scrawled message on a bed sheet, it was well thought out and professionally done.

    This is it.

Would you still be red if we got relegated?
Would you still be red if we went bankrupt and had to start again?

Ownership is just another little blip in the ever continuing story, I'd prefer it if I didn't know who owned any club, but those days are gone.

Sauron often went disguised as a mortal human to avoid detection. Do we have any proof that Mo Salah isn't Sauron in disguise?
