What is with the manufactured stadium noise? It’s really getting on my tits! And every perfectly aligned person waving each nations flag in every game, it’s a total farce
How difficult will it be to set up a substitute for F.I.F.A. I wonder, 'cos it won't be easy . . . . that would be a massive problem (maybe it's already been/being discussed)
If enough nations pull out how could it be a World Cup , it would be a less than credible for the winners to win the trophy .
Sure I read yesterday that Denmark have been quite vocal about leaving FIFA, can see the other Nordic countries following if they really push it. Let's be honest, if we left and couldn't play in world cups, euros or pointless friendlies would the players even care? They all want elite football, but to them that's champions League and money. If a few left and a sports broadcaster got behind it, others would follow
It's not particularly credible having teams like Qatar 'competing' or having a lunatic like Infantino behaving like a Bond villain ... ... not to mention playing in a despicable country where people can't take their shirt off, in the sunshine, and enjoy a beer. This World Cup has been absolutely shameful, ignoring that fact makes us as bad as them.
It doesn’t need a governing body imho, each football association could just pull there weight, fifa is as said repeatedly a corrupt organisation cashing in on the game, all associations should just tell them to **** off, this whole tournament stinks, and that rant from infantino, I wonder how much he got for that blatant attempt at sportswashing
I am a footballing romantic and like to believe footballers still think the world cup is the pinnacle. As a football lover I think it is still the pinnacle. Even this world cup, on the pitch, has been a joy. Seeing the joy of Japan - tremendous, and the beauty of Spain. I still love it, and would hate to lose it. I want FIFA replaced, but still want every nation with a chance to play.
There wouldn't be a world cup under FIFA rules.....unless ALL or most associations left FIFA and started a new world body. It needs to happen
If we leave FIFA, we won't be affected by their rules? It's the consequences. Where does sky sit in all this?
Not sure contractually how that would pan out, however, I assume all agreements with FIFA would be based on certain criteria and who is actually aliened to them...If....associations started to leave I would imagine broadcasters would have a good call to revisit the contract they have.... As for Sky....they would love it...they don't have an agreement to show any of the world Cup...they might under another world body
I have a feeling that maybe some team reps have had dialogue regarding the armband discriminations. I wouldn't be surprised if teams actually rebel against this prejudice soon and just wear them.
Ideal situation would be all the players 1-11 wearing the armband, get booked, walk off, get straight on plane and go home. Reimburse their own fans. Split from FIFA the next day.
What is obvious is that the selection process to hold world cups / european championships is inherently corrupt. The fact that England have never held a world cup for nearly 60 years with the infrastructure and stadiums we have is down to hatred. The English are hated in many circles without good reason. Doesnt stop people flocking here in their 10s of thousands to seek better lives or almost every superstar footballer plying their trade here picking up their millions. Fact is unlike Qatar we are a soft touch and have lost our identity, I dont agree with Qatars way of life but admire them for making sure people dont take the piss on their soil. We have the most sought after league in the world full of the best footballers the world has to offer with the best stadiums than anywhere else in the world and we are still seen as horrible England. FIFA has contributed to that massively over the years and I would love to see them crumble !
A Danish journalist was threatened by Qatari officials after he was seen filming wearing a OneLove armband in Doha. https://www.gbnews.uk/news/take-it-...0xNbhvQuxvBl6-QVt_gxCgPnm1jApdJuq1VKM0vZuDHIE
