ofh - does your wife know you talk dirty like that? :emoticon-0136-giggl

There are times when I wish I could understand stock exchange speak, but have neither the appropriate gene nor the money to make it worthwhile!

My wife has no idea what I post on here generally, so I suppose I could try something a bit more fruity from time to time. As far as she knows we only talk WFC. The excitement of duck hunting would not appeal to her.

One of the brothers that we bought this house from was very dismissive of the local hunt. It was only later that we discovered that he went out duck hunting, complete with his quacker!

Cracking second goal from Arsenal - taking a leaf out of the Hornets Book of How to Effectively Counter-Attack.

Scunny leading Forest too - funny old league we're in.

Scunny 1-0 Forest Full Time. Shows up that teams at the bottom will fight for every point. It drops Preston a bit further behind and I will surprised if they can save themselves.

Sheffield Utd are getting closer to the drop every game now. How can this have happened with the payout they had from the Tevez affair?

Very pretty zen. Do you have a recipe? Why does WatfordHero Hurdler Peruke DuckofDeath gain by fighting with everybody?

Sheffield United is a good number of questions. Are their crowds big enough to support the club? Do they lose much money each year from buying and selling players? Is their player payment scheme to big? Was the money from their relegation compensation spent covering debts?

It's probably the only way he has of satisfying a primeval urge for violence that he can't control like normal people. It helps that he does it anonymously, meaning he doesn't have to face up to his inadaquacies by actually being beaten.

    Or he's just a scummer!

Ak - thanks for coffee - great as always.

Now your English is amazing but at times it does give a phrase that is really good - the phrase in English is "not going to hold my breath" - "not going to hold my air" conjures up very different images :)

Tis a very quiet day all around. Light fog. No news about takeover or new LB... I guess we are all biding our time.

Don't worry the duck shooting season will be upon us shortly, no doubt.

Meantime, just for the record, I still believe we have a chance of the play-offs

I just put dead duck into Google Images and that came out.

Curious all this "something will happen on Thursday" and then in the great tradition of the Hornets.........................nothing.

Morning All, A bit on the foggy side at the moment, but promise of better things to come. ;)

Unlikely to see much from the WO as I will be out for most of the day. One report is saying that no offer has been made to his Lordship yet, so things could still be in the distance.

I wonder how some of these stories start up. Apart from the WUMs do people read too much into a few snippets of information?

In a word, yes. It's not so much don't let the facts get in the way of a good story but a few facts make the story. The absence of information merely fuels the fire - if X has happened, then Y must be next and stories develop. It's not so much conspiracy theory but more that nature abhors a vacuum.

As an example, I've got a few hours spare today as a client meeting at lunchtime today was postponed late last night, and so instead of being on a train, I can browse the web at leisure (oh how I wish).
