I can’t remember being less interested in a World Cup than I am with this one.
In truth, I probably WILL watch a few England games - but only if I happen to be not doing anything else (I shan’t be rearranging my schedule to fit them in)
I just hope none of our own City players get injured.

And even if by some utter miracle England wins, it won’t feel like winning a ‘proper’ WC.

Well you can look at that 2 ways .. bacause it is Qatar or negative or on the pitch is a level playing field and the winner will have won on merit? !
I shall not be, like yourself making special plans to watch games, if I am at a loose end or nothing on probably have tv on in background.
Likely show more interest in Welsh games and Ghana.. cities only player on duty!

On the news earlier they reminded viewers that under FIFA laws, no affiliation to any political party/movement, human rights body, or reference to religion is allowed on football shirts or accessories.

Do you remember the fuss a few years ago over England wanting to wear a Poppy on a football shirt for Remembrance Day which FIFA and UEFA tried to ban, or actually may have done so ?

Therefore it will be interesting to see whether taking the knee for the abhorrent BLM, 'one love' armbands, or rainbow laces will be acted upon in Qatar by the football authorities if nations such as England try and wear them.

Also amusing that the England party flew on a Virgin plane named Rain Bow, but 'woke' Virgin, who say that since their adverts for allowing their cabin crew and pilots to dress as they see fit are now overwhelmed with people who want jobs with Virgin, prevented their staff from doing so on this particular flight ? WTAF ?

What I'd be interested in is how many Virgin repeat customers won't use them in future for this latest virtue signalling.

    Now confirmed.
What a load of rubbish. I know it's not all about beer and drinking, but it's nice to have a beer when watching the games and especially in THAT heat - it's part of the experience.
Stupid Budweiser for doing the deal
Stupid ANYONE for having anything to do with this corrupt and rotten arrangement.

Spending a long weekend in Ireland this weekend so will miss the opening few games.
Not bothered at all - had a great meal in Dublin last night - visited Christ Church Cathedral this morning and had a couple of Guinnesses by the Liffey before boarding the Sligo train to Carrick-on-Shannon to meet up with some friends of ours.
If some football is being shown then fine, but I’m not going to search for it!!

FIFA accused of World Cup 'collusion' over claim Europe 'should be aplogising' to Qatar
    https://www.express.co.uk/news/world/1698927/World-Cup-hosts-Fifa-President-Qatar-Gianni-Infantino
“I think for what we Europeans have been doing the last 3,000 years we should be apologising for the next 3,000 years before starting to give moral lessons to people.”
For god sake this is a football cup tournanent and the president of fifa are making statements like that and calling us all racists, what ever is going on?
