Wales will look rather sheepish when they come home next week hard to see how they can qualify .... ENGLAND beat USA.. say 4 goals = 6pts Last game USA beat Iran = 4 points = USA = 4 pts [ GD ] WALES beat England by 1 goal = 4pts GD = -1 ????????????????????????
How $hite are Wales So many reports from the Wales players giving it the big un about knocking England out. They clearly forgot that they had to win a game before they play us to go though. I never thought they could beat Iran and had it as a draw as I equally didn’t think they would lose. Wales have no goal threat at this level, add to that, Bale is showing his age now and can’t win games single handedly at this level anymore!
If England win, Wales need a miracle in goal difference. Only way Wales can qualify would be USA win, then beat Iran. So let’s just say Wales will be in the flight home next week.

really trying hard to say something positive about it all,but i cant, a world cup in a country with no history or real interest in football, being played out in front a lot less than capacity grounds, please let it end , the worst world cup ever,
Boring, negative, slow, defensive tactics - set up not to lose, rather than taking the game by the balls and going for it…… …… sounds a bit like the closing few games of a tenure at BS3 a few years back…..
I agree, it almost backfired though, it’s difficult to criticise GS too much, he’s a track record of doing well in cup competitions with England, I just felt last night we should have been on the front foot instead of playing safe.
we did seem to lack the intensity that Saka and Bellingham brought in the first game, I saw a close up of mount after 1 lot of substitutions and thought he must have come on as a sub! I must admit USA looked like they had some sort of propellant... the speed with their constant running was impressive!
Wiz the thread you locked down was very helpful, I looked to it everyday for info etc .. it gets read or opened by many although comments often do not get added it is a good info source! Thanks for it up till now
I disagree regarding GS's track record in comps, IMO he's been a very lucky manager with the group stages and the routes we've been fortunate to get.. Was the easiest to get to Euro's final and still we couldn't win it.. I don't think he acts quick enough when things aren't working out and can only think he's on a back hander with the minutes he gives Kane, whom again IMO is disappointing on the big stage of major comps... Some selections and timings of his subs and lack of grabbing the bull by the horn and going for it, frustrates the crap out of me..
