I think it's fair to see we've handled the change of manager better than Wolves. I know they got their man in the end but that turned into a farce.

Underwhelmed, but willing to give him a chance. He's going to have to hit the ground running in the new year or I feel the fans will turn quickly.

Now, wheres that damn poll :bandit:

Good manager for sure but I don't think this is the right move. The only thing we can do now is though, is get behind him 100%. We have to trust the process and hope he turns things around.

3 points at Anfield would be a good start Nath :emoticon-0105-wink:

The more I find out about Jones, the more I like. Come on Nathan, nothing beats a good icebreaker than a win at Anfield. :)

Apparently. He's going to be really hungry to succeed here. There are no guarantees (if you want one, buy a washing machine :emoticon-0106-cryin) but this could be a really shrewd appointment which may go under the radar as Wolves and Villa have appointed big names.

Pretty clear from the video that for once Saints have had a plan. This video wasn’t made overnight and probably not this week considering the weather we’ve had in the south. Let’s hope it augers well for a new era! COYS

I’m a bit apprehensive but the decisiveness from the club shows they clearly rate him and this was not a rushed move.

Let’s hope he can turn the bus around.

This has been a complaint of a lot of people - losing our identity.....

Interesting, especially so considering he has played a few different styles in his career. Its not as of he is a clear believer in any one system.

Initially when I heard the rumours a bit shocked and unimpressed. Upon reflection (some should try this rather than spouting off immediately knee jerk), this isn't so bad. In fact it could turn out to be the turning point for SFC under SR. In a good way.

The guys that paid for us wanted him, so I am 100% behind him. Three points are almost a certainty on Saturday now and I can see us finishing in the Champions League places this year.

Yep guys, that is called positivity and optimism.

I read that the main reason it took longer than expected for Lopetegui to become Wolves manager was because his dad became very ill during the negotiations and he needed more tome to think whether he wanted to go back into management.

I'm really excited for this, mainly because it's just nice to expect something different. Ralph became so predictable and dull in the end, I was falling out of love with Saints and football. Hate that feeling.

I knew that - I was more referring to the Wolves side of things.

As far as mid-season appointments go, the timing couldn't be any better.

Not only do we have a 6 week break for the world cup, which will essentially be a pre-season, but after getting to know his squad we move straight into the transfer window.

We have to back him in January, it is an absolute must.
