You've made your fortnightly trip to your favourite restaurant with your mates and you are all having the same meal. But you've got fed up with yours long before anyone else so you throw a tantrum because none of your mates think the same as you. "Every time we come here we get served up the same old crap, the chef doesn't even know his best cooks. Why am I the only one who can see this?" Some of the others after hearing all the shouting, start to shout too and eventually the management take the meal back to placate the noisy customers. They then suggest you try another dish, it's called Naan Jalfrezi (or Nathan Jones in English) but although you don't have a clue about what it might taste like, you say "I don't like the look of that it must be ****e. I didn't want the last meal but I don't want this one either, it looks like they've thrown together a few ingredients no one has ever heard of just because they're cheap."
Although your mates say you won't know what it's like until you've tried it you're adamant. "We deserve better than this, I said we should never have come to The Luton Bengali Palace in the first place" and throw another tantrum.

That Luton Bengal Palace is a bit rank tbh. Don’t have the “lamb”.

Quick question for all on here.

I see a glass that has been poorly chosen for the amount of water it was intended to hold.

It was probably a knee-jerk decision made without any thought, hope or ambition and the person who made the decision needs to be sacked immediately for letting down me, the people on here, the club, the city, the country and the continent.

From an apparent ITK on Saintsweb:

"They had a meeting at 11 yesterday with Selles. Selles basically told the players that they let the manager & the fans down & ripped into them. He basically told the staff that the players hadn’t performed for the manager or the fans & that they had 2 games to prove to the new manager that they deserve to play for this football club. There were a few players who were visibly upset.

Ralph went around to every staff member at Staplewood & he was seen very upset & had tears in his eyes. Literally said goodbye to everyone & thanked everyone. He also told Martin that Ruben Selles should replace him."

If true then it's another example of what a great bloke Ralph is. I can't help but think we'll be looking back at this in a few years with a huge feeling of regret at the manner and timing of Ralph's departure.

For the people that have been hesitant on Jones style of play at Luton, didn't he change the style of play and formation to suit the players at his disposal? Which is why he's had such great success over the last 2.5 years.

It’ll be far less than a few years

I wonder if that is visibly upset because of being yelled at or visibly upset because what Selles was saying was true and they felt bad? It isn't exactly clear

Not sure. Hope not.

Edit. In relation to last bit.

I think it would hae been interesting for Saints to go for a manager like Kompany. Nathan Jones is an unknown quantity and, whilst I asm sure Saints have done their background checks to assess his ability, it is not an appointment that is has that stardust quality. The current squad , once augmented by a decent front line partnership, should be further up the table. I would like Saints to be bold and select a new coach who would make the playing staff step up their game. Not expecting much more than piqued interest amongst the playing staff. I think there has been something of a "culture" amongst the players of not being fully behind the managrrs since Puel arrived. I just see Jones as being a "logical" choice which might just have been over-thought. Not convinced it would bean inspired appointment although we shoud get behind the new manager.
