I like to think of myself as being fair minded, so if Jones is hired I will give him until at least 14.05 on Saturday, and I have seen his lineup, before I turn on him.
Clearly this is a crucial factor in the selection process. I`m going for a few beers at Brewdog and a visit to the Manzil tonight - maybe I`ll be the new Luton manager.

He basically told the staff that the players hadn’t performed for the manager or the fans & that they had 2 games to prove to the new manager that they deserve to play for this football club. There were a few players who were visibly upset. Ralph went around to every staff member at Staplewood & he was seen very upset & had tears in his eyes. Literally said goodbye to everyone & thanked everyone. He also told Martin that Ruben Selles should replace him."

I can't help but think we'll be looking back at this in a few years with a huge feeling of regret at the manner and timing of Ralph's departure.
For the people that have been hesitant on Jones style of play at Luton, didn't he change the style of play and formation to suit the players at his disposal? Which is why he's had such great success over the last 2.5 years.
I wonder if that is visibly upset because of being yelled at or visibly upset because what Selles was saying was true and they felt bad? It isn't exactly clear
Grrr. i am so pleased to hear that Selles did that because thats exactly how i feel. i dont blame Ralph for the recent results I wholly blame the players. ****e performances. ****e captaincy.
I was time for a change bloke - now I'm give the new bloke a 'king chance bloke. We could get the world's greatest manager in here and if he doesn't click with the club and players it won't work. If we had appointed Potter before anyone knew who he was would the complaints have been as high or higher? I think yes.
I shudder to think of the scenes on this thread tonight if Luton lose (or maybe even if they don't win). Some people will lose it
I think it would hae been interesting for Saints to go for a manager like Kompany. Nathan Jones is an unknown quantity and, whilst I asm sure Saints have done their background checks to assess his ability, it is not an appointment that is has that stardust quality. The current squad , once augmented by a decent front line partnership, should be further up the table. I would like Saints to be bold and select a new coach who would make the playing staff step up their game. Not expecting much more than piqued interest amongst the playing staff. I think there has been something of a "culture" amongst the players of not being fully behind the managrrs since Puel arrived. I just see Jones as being a "logical" choice which might just have been over-thought. Not convinced it would bean inspired appointment although we shoud get behind the new manager.
