Good morning quizletts :)

Zenyatta got the speaker. Mick Channon, speaking about Stan Bowles and his gambling addictions!

(a) Which is the only horse to have won the 2000Gns, the Champion Stakes AND also the Craven Stakes?

(b) Which is the only horse to have won the 2000 Gns and the Coronation Cup?

Some Breeders Cup themed questions for you all:

(a) How many Breeders' Cup races were won by European trainers in the years 1984-2010 - closest person wins.

(b) Andre Fabre is the most successful European trainer at BC (win and placed horses). Name his 3 winners, the year and the races won.

(c) European trained horses have failed to win any races on 4 occasions. Name the years.

(b) In the Wings (1990 Turf), Shirrocco (2005 Turf), and Banks Hill (2001 Filly and Mare Turf).

? Arcangues 1993 Classic at Santa Anita

Ooops, Ron spotted my deliberate error! I'd forgotten Banks Hill as she later switched to Bobby Frankel, but yes Andre Fabre did have 4 winners.

Total European winners - I have less than 48.

Blank years - 2 out of 4 right.

I'll throw in two more Breeders' Cup related questions:

(a) Two sets of siblings have won at Breeders' Cup. Can you name the 4 horses, the races they won and their dams?

(b) Sticking with the family theme, can you name the three generations (mother, daughter and granddaughter) that have won Breeders' Cup races, and which races they won?

I'll post the answers before I leave work this evening, if no one gets them right...

Shift work <laugh> Nah, I'm a 9 to 5er but seeing as my boss is at Churchill Downs and my colleague is off sick I have that distinct Friday feeling and would rather sit here thinking up quiz questions for you lot rather than start ploughing through the Tattersalls Ireland National Hunt sale catalogue that is sitting on my desk :emoticon-0104-surpr

Lucky you. I've got to go to a meeting about rerouting an engine harness with a load of frenchies <doh>

Definitely a cold beer with my name on it after that !!

I had two other answers, 37 and 40 before I came up with 48. Do you mean trained in Europe?
