The Beale speculation has already started.

Aston Villa: Who are the contenders to replace Steven Gerrard
https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/63339467

Villa are a more attractive option, even if in a relegation scrap. But their fans will be more demanding for an instant improvement.

I doubt that Beale will change his stance and integrity in a 24 hour period.

I guess that we should get used to his name being linked with vacant jobs.

I wish Mick Beale every success for the future and mat it be with us for as long as possible.

Let’s focus on Saturday’s home match against Wigan and then the next away match at Birmingham. Two more wins would be the best response for MB’s CV.
In a way its good timing Gerrard being sacked immediately after Beale rebuffed Wolves and reaffirmed his commitment to us. It would be a u-turn of Liz Truss-like proportions to change his stance now.

Agree Villa are arguably a more attractive option but their fans are pretty horrible.

Plus he knows that they are a mess, some good young players but the squad haven’t delivered for the past two managers, despite some big spending. I think they will go for Poch if they can get him - unlikely - or if they just want a survival expert Dyche.

They only won 2 of their last 11 league games last season while Beale was still there, and those wins were against two of the relegated teams. The rot set in ages ago.

Says it all really - you’ve got a very decent Manager. <cheers>
Don’t know about Glasgow Rangers, where the competition is quite a bit weaker, but the more I look at the Gerrard/Beale team at Villa last season the less impressive it looks.10 wins in 29 league games, only 2 in the last 11 games, after spending over £30m in the winter window, excluding Coutinho on loan.

Mickey’s lucky we took a punt on him……:emoticon-0100-smile

I believe they can be recalled in Jan if both clubs agreed to that at the start of the loan
I would not think for a minute 19 year old Tim5vowels, would be recalled for a relegation fight.

As Stan said on Wednesday... one minute Tim5vowels plays like Pogba and the next like like Carlton Cole..
