Promotion or not, watching these young lads playing quality passing football is an absolute joy. We won't win every game but it's beautiful to watch at times and to see these young ones improving is just different class
That's the best thing at the moment.

I would hate being a club that had its aim as being the club who could outspend and outlay and land anyone through financial muscle. Not exciting and not really satisfying

lot been said about wigans 'style of play', as i said earlier they could not match us for football so resort to stopping games at any cost, which was also a massive problem in div 3, i just did not expect to see it in this league...i get the feeling they will be found out over the 2nd half of the season
Said to my Dad on the way out, if that's how they play they will be in trouble

We won so I feel like I'm able to say, putting everything to one side, how awesome was it to see Charlie Wyke play like this and score like that in the Championship, after everything he's been through.

Seems a good lad. Always worked hard. I didnt think he was good enough. Long may he prove me wrong.

Agreed. Apparently this was well spoken of on the Sky scores round up show this afternoon.

Good luck to him. He did his job up here once the odious Parkinson was booted out. He would do better still in a team that played some football before booting it into the box!

Buzzing we won

Aye. Best win of the season for me.

They are good away, and you could see why. But they couldn't really handle us when we got the ball moving.

And this is a very honest team. We have seen enough of chancers, incompetents, no marks and has beens to last a life time. Honesty is in this team, and more than anything it's the thing I like.

I have literally no idea what ONien is doing for their goal. Schoolboy schoolboy stuff, literally. Broadhead must have said thank you as he turned him.

Alese needs to get a grip as well. He is making the job of the centre midfielders very difficult. I would get Matete on now in the middle. I would give Michut a go as well when Pritchard comes off, might even do it now.
O'Nien has been quite suspect the season. Not faulting effort but would question ability. almost every goal conceded is a deflection from Luke

Great win and nice to see Cirkin back, the kid is premier league quality.
What made my day though was watching that ****er McLean get absolutely tortured all afternoon by our own Jinky Robert’s. The lad looks like he’s loving being here and is playing some good stuff.
Thanks for the thread RTB, big part of my Saturdays

Any word on why Ba was missing? Thought he might start in place of Evans

We've gone up a division and are playing ex-PL sides as well as those who've been trying to get up there ...

... that performance, with our injuries and going a goal down, was absolutely wondefrul.

Some people will never be happy, balls to them.
Weird isn’t it. Coming out of the ground I heard people complaining. “We’ll if we hadn’t….”

WE ****ING DID. AND IF WED HAD MORE LUCKWED HAVE BEEN COMFORTABLE!!!

Sorry! Notshouting at you!!! Just annoys the hell out of me.

Thouht they were superb. Second half was brilliant

Agree, how many times in recent seasons have we dominated first half and gone in HT a goal behind, then completely disappeared second half.
Today wasn't one of those and we kept at it, got the goals ' at the right time' whatever that means, and looked a proper hard working team with decent players.
Credit to both Manager and the players. Long may it continue.
